Emilia Fox, celebrated for her compelling portrayal in Silent Witness, collaborates with esteemed criminologist David Wilson and seasoned former senior detective Dr. Graham Hill to meticulously unravel some of history's most perplexing unsolved murder cases.

On the fateful evening Sunday of 25 August 1991, Vera Anderson, a devoted mother of two residing in Widnes, was abruptly drawn from her home by a mysterious and urgent phone call.

In haste, she entrusted the care of her seven-year-old son to a next-door neighbor, assuring them she would return in a mere ten minutes.

That promise was never fulfilled.

Five hours later, Vera was discovered lifeless, slumped over the driver's seat of her blue Ford Cortina, having suffered a brutal attack - she had been viciously strangled, and her throat cruelly slashed.

​Now, more than three decades later, the barbaric murder of Vera Anderson remains shrouded in mystery, with no one ever brought to justice. 

Undeterred, Emilia, David, and Graham embark on a determined reinvestigation, meticulously sifting through a roster of potential suspects and unearthing explosive new revelations that could finally shed light on the identity of the perpetrator behind this heinous crime.
