A tree has been felled at Deer Road Park, also known as Station Road Playground, adjacent to the Station House Media Unit and Salvation Army buildings in the Woodside region of Aberdeen.

The incident comes in the wake of last week's storm that struck the North East of Britain, with Grampian particularly hard-hit by high winds and heavy rainfall.

It remains unclear if the tree was damaged during the adverse conditions or if it was intentionally removed.

Local authorities - including Aberdeen City Council - have been informed, and an assessment is underway to determine the cause and ensure the safety of the area.
