A 19-year-old woman has been arrested and charged following a fatal Road Traffic Collision in Coatbridge. The incident involved a black Vauxhall Corsa and a pedestrian on Brambling Road around 17:20 on Saturday 09 November 2024. The pedestrian - a 57-year-old woman - was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, where she was later pronounced dead.
The charged woman will be reported to the Procurator Fiscal.

A 19-year-old man has died following a Road Accident in Cirencester, Gloucestershire Police have confirmed. The incident occurred on Friday 17 October 2025, prompting an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash. Emergency Services were called to the A429 (Bristol Road), near the Waitrose supermarket, at approximately 21:45 following a report of a collision involving the driver of a lorry and a man. Officers are appealing for witnesses or anyone with Dash Cam footage, if you were travelling in the area, to assist with enquiries. Gloucestershire Police have confirmed the Road Closures at the scene have been lifted.
The teenager who has died's family are aware and being supported by specially-trained officers. Officers were called to a report of a serious collision on the Hednesford Road near the Rugeley area at around 16:00. The collision was between a grey Land Rover and a grey MG. The driver of the MG, a man in his 40s, died at the scene. His next of kin have been informed and are now being supported by specially trained officers. The driver and passengers in the Land Rover were taken to a local medical facility for further checks, but a spokesperson from Staffordshire Police believes their injuries are minor.
