Police Scotland are seeking information following an attempted robbery in Carluke that took place in October 2025. The incident involved suspects targeting a victim. A man entered a store on High Street, Carluke in the Clydesdale area, at approximately 09:00 on Saturday 18 October, 2025. He threatened staff with a weapon before evading the scene in South Lanarkshire.
The suspect is described as being roughly 5' 8" tall, of slim build and wearing all dark clothing. There were no reports of any injuries and enquiries are ongoing. Anyone with any information is asked to contact Police Scotland, quoting Reference Number: 1022 of Saturday 18 October, 2025. Detectives investigating this incident are urging witnesses or individuals with relevant knowledge to contact them via 101 or anonymously through CrimeStoppers on 0800 555 111.

A male has been detained and a female indicted in relation to occurrences on the Isle Of Dogs on Wednesday. On Wednesday evening, an preliminary announcement was issued concerning an event in which a male purportedly gained entry to a female's apartment. He was subsequently restrained by bystanders in the proximity. The inquiry progressed on Thursday, with personnel conducting comprehensive CCTV reviews and interviewing eyewitnesses. Consequently, during the early hours of this morning - Friday, 15 August 2025 - a male was apprehended in the Hackney district on suspicion of Common Assault. He is estimated to be in his early twenties. It has been verified that this is the individual who allegedly accessed the apartment. He remains in police detention. A 22-year-old female detained on Wednesday evening has subsequently been indicted on several counts. She resides in the apartment that was accessed. Channay Augustus, 22 (born 28 October 2002), of Byng Street, Tower Hamlets, has been charged with possession of an offensive weapon, Affray, Assault on an emergency worker, Common Assault and possession of Cannabis. The charges of affray and common assault pertain to a confrontation at the Britannia Hotel in Marsh Wall later that Wednesday evening.
The purported victim of the Common Assault is a security personnel at the hotel, not the male who allegedly entered her apartment. Augustus has been held in Police Custody pending her appearance at Thames Magistrates' Court earlier today. |
