A murder inquiry has been initiated following the death of a woman in her forties in Lewisham.
At 06:41 on Sunday 13 April 2025, London Ambulance Service notified Metropolitan Police of a gravely injured woman in Hatfield Close in the SE14 region.

Officers were promptly dispatched, accompanied by London's Air Ambulance.
Despite the best efforts of Emergency Services, she was pronounced deceased at the scene.
At 06:52, a 44-year-old man presented himself at Lewisham Police Station in connection with the incident.
He was arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in custody.
It is understood that the two individuals were known to each other.
The woman's next of kin have been informed and will receive support from specialist officers.
A Post Mortem examination will be conducted in due course.
The investigation is ongoing.
