LONDON: MURDER INVESTIGATION LAUNCHED AFTER FATAL ASSAULT IN UXBRIDGE | INFORMING BRITAIN ON CRIME

Metropolitan Police detectives have initiated a murder investigation following a fatal assault in Uxbridge earlier today, Friday 26 September 2025.

At 12:27, on Friday, 26 September 2025, Metropolitan Police were called to reports of a fight between two men on High Street, Cowley.

Officers attended the scene alongside the London Ambulance Service, where a 62-year-old man was treated for injuries.

Despite the efforts of paramedics, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

A 43-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in Police Custody.

Detective Inspector Richard Kempshall, leading the investigation, said:

"My team are working diligently to establish the full circumstances of this tragic incident.  We have arrested a suspect, and at this stage, we are not seeking additional individuals in connection with the case."

Police are appealing for witnesses who were in the area of Cowley High Street at the time of the incident.

DI Kempshall urged the public to review any doorbell or camera footage that may assist the investigation.

"Any information, no matter how small, could be vital", he added.


The public can share information by calling 101, quoting CAD 3169/26SEPT.

Alternatively, anonymous tips can be provided to the independent charity CrimeStoppers on 0800 555 111.
