Adam takes matters into his own hands. Adam's car windscreen has been vandalised. Adam vows to put a stop to Jeremy Bremner's intimidation campaign. Adam tracks down Jeremy to his work and confronts him. Admitting to keying Adam's vehicle, Jeremy denies being behind the graffiti and the windscreen. Adam gives up arguing and retreats. Sarah frets to Carla and Lydia that Adam may have unintentionally and unnecessarily provoked Jeremy further.

Meanwhile, Kelly's fresh start turns stale. Kelly is delighted when Stu invites her, Gary and Maria for a complimentary meal at Speed Daal. As Kelly enjoys Stu's cooking in Speed Daal, they are all stunned when Laura interrupts and announces that she is dying.

Elsewhere, Amy keeps schtum about her new love interest. Amy confides in Asha and Summer that it is early days but things are going well with her new boyfriend. Asha advises caution, citing her disastrous association with Corey.

Kelly makes a tough decision. Laura is wounded by Kelly's disbelieving reaction to the news that she has stomach cancer and only months to live. Kelly admits to Gary that Laura looked ill enough to be telling the truth. Gary reminds her that Laura is still been a terrible mother and Kelly owes her nothing. Kelly furtively slips out of the flat, unseen.

Meanwhile, Amy's secret love remains a mystery. Tracy and Mary speculate that Amy's secret boyfriend is a much older man. Tracy ropes in Emma to grill her, but Emma soon backs off.

Elsewhere, Adam gets swatted. Held at gunpoint by armed police, Adam and Imran are shocked to learn their office is being searched for a firearm following a tip-off. The police turn the office upside down. Imran and Sarah blame Adam for antagonising Jeremy. Adam insists on reporting Jeremy to Weatherfield Police for the false tip-off. Adam receives a silent phone call.

Cain is furious Al is moving in with Amy, Kerry and Kyle whilst Amy threatens that she will fight Cain for custody if he continues to meddle in her life. Moira tries to pacify Amy telling her she will try and get through to Cain but with Al looming large deliberately antagonising the situation Cain is unlikely to back down.

Meanwhile, with Kim planning to oust them out of their home Laurel is distraught whilst Jai is concocting a way out. Gabby fumes when Kim tells her Jai suggested she sell Brook Cottage instead, which would leave Bernice homeless. Soon Jai and Laurel are planning to try and buy Mulberry Cottage from Kim. But Priya's anger rises when Jai tells her and Rishi they should sell Holdgate Farm, so he can get the funds. Jai is surrounded by Priya and Bernice as they both chastise him for his sneaky behaviour but are suddenly terrified when Rishi collapses.

Elsewhere, Ellis has had a job offer abroad, and tells Al he's taking the job, but dreads breaking the news to Belle. However before he can, Al puts his foot in it by letting slip to Belle first, assuming she already knows. Belle is furious to realise Ellis is dumping her.

On the day of the auction Chas initially refuses to go. Soon Charity hits a nerve which emboldens Chas to attend, leaving Paddy happy she is not going down without a fight. At The Auction House there is tension from the Emmerdale Villagers as the auctioneer prepares to start. Just as the auctioneer is ready to sell The Woolpack, Cain shoots his hand up and bids. Moira is relieved when Cain is outbid by an online bidder. Later, Marlon and Chas are interested to know who the new owner is. Faith fails to get the name of the new owner from the auctioneer but is informed they would like to meet Marlon and Chas in person. Chas is fearful about finding out who the mystery buyer is.

The next day, Marcus shows up to meet Rhona and Vanessa once again impersonates her, hoping to head him off. As Vanessa tries to explain she made a mistake getting in touch, Rhona arrives and is floored to see Marcus.

Kim apologises for missing Dawn's hen party. She then heads off to the auction, dressed to the nines. Later, Kim is on the phone with a smug look on her face.

Jai shoves the paperwork for the loan he took out in Laurel's name into a folder as Laurel arrives. Jai rushes out to meet a PR consultant but accidentally leaves the folder behind.

Daniel can't do right for doing wrong. Daniel maintains Max tripped by accident. David accosts Daniel in the street and accuses him of lying. Lydia intervenes, while Daisy watches with concern. Daisy calls at the shop flat to check on Daniel. But when she admits she thinks he is hiding something, Daniel gets defensive. Daniel and Daisy hurl insults at each other, but Daisy admits she wants Daniel and they kiss. They soon leap apart as Lydia enters.

It is a lock-in at Roy's Rolls. Asha calls in at the cafe to see Nina before setting off to Glasgow but Nina pockets Asha's phone. Asha is shocked to find Nina has taken her mobile. Nina refuses to let her go to Glasgow. Asha is alarmed when Nina locks the cafe door to stop her leaving.

Sarah gets a nasty surprise. When Adam tells Sarah that he is taking her to Viaduct Bistro for her birthday and has bought her a smart oven as a present, Sarah is utterly underwhelmed and storms off.

Still fretting over the mishap with the portfolio, Kelly overhears Maria moaning to Gary that she has reached the end of her tether. Kelly skulks away, failing to realise Maria was actually complaining about Sally.

Audrey complains to Gail and Shona that nobody trusts her with anything anymore. Shona suggests Rita has a night out before urging her to ask Audrey to do her hair. Rita is dubious but agrees.

Maria returns home to find her portfolio ruined. Liam confesses to Maria that he is to blame.

Rita persuades Audrey to put their quarrel to bed by giving her a hairdo. Audrey’s relieved when Rita clocks her bottles of wine but merely asks for a glass. Finding Audrey and a freshly-coiffed Rita getting on famously, Shona smugly takes the credit. But when Audrey bridles at being set up, Rita’s patience snaps and, with a parting shot about her daytime drinking, she flounces out.

Daniel learns his fate. Mrs. Crawshaw summons Daniel to the school and accepts that he did not push Max. She invites him to apply for a permanent post at the end of his placement causing David and Shona to be completely outraged.

Beth confronts Craig, demanding to know why her son is quitting the police force.

Will works out Kim is planning on putting in a bid to buy The Woolpack. Charity overhears and is gutted how to break it to Chas. When Chas finds out Kim is interested she hits the roof. Cain is determined to fix things when Chas explains losing The Woolpack will break her heart.

Ryan soon gives Rhona, Marcus' number. Soon Rhona blurts out to Vanessa that she has phoned Marcus. But unbeknownst to Rhona when Vanessa sees a return voicemail come in from Marcus she listens to it and leaves him one back. Will Vanessa come to regret this?
