In a flashback to her days as a student midwife, Jodie grapples with trauma from her past.

But as she navigates her heartache, she seeks closure in the wrong places.

Jodie looks back on her days as a student midwife five years previously, when her mother chose to stop her chemotherapy treatment, she receives word that her mother's health has deteriorated just as she is preparing to deliver a baby, and is faced with an impossible choice between her family and the needs of her patient.

Dylan fights to prove his innocence, but is time his enemy?

Stevie makes peace with her head and her heart.

Nicole tries to adjust to her new normal as she undergoes treatment for Postpartum Psychosis.

Dylan is questioned by the police and shown footage of the post mortem on Thea after the crash at the restaurant, this leads to questions about previous patients who have died under suspicious circumstances while in his care.

Jodie continues to be wrapped around Aaron's little finger.

Jacob and Teddy face a difficult shout where they witness fellow Emergency Service colleague Steph Murphy, a Seargeant in the Police Force attached to Holby South Division, suffer a terrible head injury caused by Caleb Dunaksji - the patient they're attending to in the first place.

Naomi is put into an impossible situation when she is a 999 Call Handler.

Meanwhile, Stevie has to treat Siobhan's son.

Elsewhere, Indie finds herself with nowhere to stay and ends up sleeping in an ambulance.
