Flynn finds himself under heightened pressure as the Care Quality Commission (CQC) conducts their anticipated return visit to the facility, raising the stakes for everyone involved.

However, potential disruptions emerge from the escalating situations surrounding Matty and Kim, which could inadvertently hinder the proceedings.

Kim pushes her body to its absolute limits during a demanding shift, encountering significant challenges when her vision begins to falter unexpectedly while she is in the midst of attending to a patient suffering from a serious head injury.

On another front, Jacob steadfastly upholds his decision to file a formal complaint against Ashley, even as Teddy steps in with efforts to facilitate a resolution and ease the tensions between them.

Additionally, Siobhan receives encouraging news that fresh evidence might exist to strengthen her case against her assailant, providing a glimmer of hope amid her ordeal.

To top it off, Flynn is caught off guard by the sudden initiation of an unannounced inspection, adding yet another layer of complexity to the day's events.

Jacob is outraged by an injustice when Ashley arrests a man matching the description of a recent mugger, only for it to be revealed as Jacob's own son.  Convinced the arrest stems from racial bias rather than evidence, Jacob accuses Ashley of being blinded by racism and ignoring his son's serious Mental Health struggles.

Tensions reach breaking point for Dylan and Matty.

Meanwhile, Siobhan hits her limit and struggles to hide her devastation upon learning the police cannot positively identify her rapist.

Elsewhere, Iain's guilt intensifies as Faith enthusiastically supports the idea of them getting back together, forcing him toward a painful confession.

Matty and Kim face their worst nightmare when a routine training simulation for an encephalitis breakout takes a dangerous, and potentially deadly, turn.

Faith grows suspicious of Iain's sudden suggestion that they reunite, questioning whether his motives stem from genuine feelings for her or solely concern for their unborn baby.

Siobhan, overwhelmed, shuts down amid mounting pressures.

After a spate of prank calls disrupts the department, Indie urges Jan to teach the responsible teenagers a much-needed lesson in accountability.
