Jade must confront her past.

Fenisha pushes Jan too far.

Jacob makes an unexpected friend.

Jade makes a huge decision about her reaching out to her birth mother.

Meanwhile, Fenisha disobeys Jan's orders when the pair attend the scene of an accident at a wrestling match.  Back at the Holby City medical facility, Jan hands her an official warning, putting her future in jeopardy.

Elsewhere, hen marine veteran Nate comes into Holby City's Emergency Department claiming to have fallen from his wheelchair during a stunt, he quickly bonds with Jacob, who is thrilled to treat someone with such an exciting life.

This episode is something a little different.  With the incorporation of live wrestling and none of the stereotypical Casualty-esque storylines/stunts, this is an interesting one to say the least.

Plus, Gabriella Leon and Olivia D'Lima are superb.  Really pleased to see Gabriella, especially, be given something worthwhile.

An interesting new development for Jacob Masters (Charles Venn), also.  Viewers will see him take an alternate direction in his life.

It's also great to see Neil Hurst on the television.

Edison realises his mistakes.  When Don makes yet another racist remark, Michael can’t believe that his father just takes it on the chin and points out that fights are never won by people who give up.  As the bistro opening party gets underway, Don continues in front of the whole family.  Edison has had enough and challenges him, as the room falls silent Edison explains he’s suffered racist abuse all his life, but he’ll never give up the fight to put a stop to it.  Back at home Michael assures Tianna that there’s no place in this world for racism and he’ll do everything he can to make it a better place for her.  In The Rovers Return, Dev, who is of Asian decent, shares his own experiences at the hands of racists.  Meanwhile, uncomfortable around his own Dad, James slinks out, more convinced that his only option is to quit football as people will never accept him for who he is.  Aggie tells Edison that she’s proud of him for standing up to Don but wishes she could be proud of the way he is with James too.  At number 3 Coronation Street, Edison offers James a heartfelt apology for the way he’s behaved, assuring him that deep down he couldn’t be prouder.  Will father and son finally be reunited?

Leanne and Steve are given a few reasons to hope.  A desolate Leanne confides in Toyah that she doesn’t know which is worse; not knowing what’s wrong with Oliver or finding out it’s something terrible.  Leanne apologises to Nick and they make up, united in their concern for Oliver.

Leanne and Nick disagree over Oliver.  Steve and Leanne keep a vigil at Oliver's bedside.  Having searched on the Internet for Mitochondrial Disease, Steve is upbeat as he explains that there are different strains and many people with the disease lead full and normal lives.  But when the doctor explains they need to run more tests, Steve loses his rag and demands to know if his son is going to live or die.  Later as Steve and Leanne jokily reminisce over Oliver's childhood, Nick takes a more serious approach.

Aggie takes a stand.  Michael tells Edison and Aggie that he thinks it would be best if they swerved the bistro opening party, but Aggie asserts that she’s not going to let an idiot like Don put them off.  A downbeat James reveals that he’s no longer playing tonight as he’s been dropped from the squad.

Meanwhile, Gemma goes on-the-record.  Gemma tells Bernie and Chesney that she feels like she’s turned a corner and she couldn’t have done it without them and the support group.  When Gemma confides in Sean, explaining it’s good to talk, Sean suggests that she record a vlog and share her experience online as it could help others in a similar situation.  With the help of Sean and Cathy, Gemma records her first vlog, slamming the Freshco ad campaign for creating a dream world not possible to achieve.

Elsewhere, when Tyrone finds Arthur and Evelyn enjoying breakfast together, he assumes Arthur stayed over.  A flustered Evelyn explains he just called in, later assuring Fiz they’re just good friends.

Leanne and Steve receive the terrible news.  Oliver is sedated and taken for a brain scan.  The doctor tells Steve and Leanne that the next step is to run some genetic blood tests.  As the two families lean on each other for support, the doctor breaks the news that Oliver’s condition is more serious than they first thought and he might have Mitochondrial Disease.  Steve and Leanne are devastated.

James fears the worst that he has lost everything.  When Don gives Edison yet another snagging list, Michael has had enough.  Don makes jibes at Michael and enjoys winding him up.  Michael’s angry and wants to take on Don but Edison and Aggie are adamant it’s best to turn the other cheek and not cause an embarrassing scene.  James reveals he’s being threatened with the transfer list after his altercation with a fan who called him gay.

Gemma's cloud is lifted.  As Gemma talks candidly to the support group about her nightmares and how she’s imagined hurting her babies, she’s assured she is definitely not alone.  Back at home she admits she found the group really helpful.  Chesney tells her that he’s proud of her.

Meanwhile, returning from the dance, Evelyn and Arthur kiss tenderly.

Elsewhere, David admits to Craig that he gets an adrenaline rush from taking stupid risks.  Craig urges him to stop for the sake of his family.

Mae’r awyrgylch mor oeraidd yn nhŷ Elen a’r merched y bore yma nes bod Elen yn cyrraedd pen ei thennyn ac yn penderfynu mynd i chwilio am Ian er mwyn ei roi yn ei le.

Mae’n amlwg nad yw Ian a Ceri yn fodlon gyda chanlyniad y sgwrs a daw Ceri i chwilio am Elen er mwyn trafod y sefyllfa’n fwy rhesymol.

Mae’n ddiwrnod cyntaf Vince yn ei swydd newydd ac mae’n cymryd at y gwaith yn syth, er bod Sophie yn ddilornus iawn o’r sefyllfa.

Mae Terry yn hen gyfarwydd â natur Sophie a dydi o fawr o dro yn dweud wrthi beth yn union mae o’n feddwl ohoni.

Mae diwrnod y trip i Alton Towers wedi cyrraedd.

Er nad ydi Elen yn hapus iawn bod y marched yn mynd, mae hi’n sylweddoli nad oedd ganddi ddewis yn y pen draw ond gwneud ei gorau i gadw’r ddysgl yn wastad.

Mae’r diffyg hwyliau diweddar ar Aled yn dal i achosi penbleth i Mathew ac Iolo tra mae Dylan yn cael ei daflu oddi ar ei echel yn llwyr pan ofynna Fflur gwestiwn dyrys iawn iddo.

There’s a frosty atmosphere in Elen’s house, so much so that Elen reaches the end of her tether and decides to confront Ian.

It’s clear that neither Ian nor Ceri are happy with the outcome of Elen’s visit and Ceri decides to go searching for Elen so that they can have a more reasonable chat.

It’s Vince’s first day in his new job at the school and he seems to be taking to his duties like a duck to water, despite Sophie’s disapproval.

Terry overhears Sophie’s comments and tells her exactly what he thinks of her.

The day of the trip to Alton Towers has arrived. Even though Elen isn’t too happy that the girls are going, she realises that she didn’t have a choice but to do her best and keep everyone happy.

Aled’s recent bad mood is still causing confusion for Mathew and Iolo, while Dylan is completely taken aback when Fflur asks him a difficult question.

This week in Shieldinch...

A sinister presence casts a shadow over Poppy’s secret plans for Stevie’s surprise 40th birthday party.

Lenny enlists Eve’s help to quash tensions between Lou and Rory.

Stevie is in a reflective mood when he feels his birthday has been forgotten.

Poppy plans the perfect surprise 40th for Stevie, but nuisance phone calls cause concern.  Things go from bad to worse when the chef and entertainment cancel.  Cameron steps in to save the day for Poppy, enlisting the help of Dylan.

With the unknown caller still pestering Poppy, she grows increasingly uneasy, confessing to Scarlett that she’s certain someone has been watching her for a while.  Poppy considers who might be behind the calls and Nicole quickly becomes the prime suspect.

Determined nothing will spoil Stevie’s party, Poppy does her best to shut down her harasser.  But when Poppy’s perfect party takes an unsettling turn for all to see, she starts to believe she has a stalker.

With DCI Rachel Grant out of the picture, Lenny urges Rory to let go of the resentment he feels towards Lou. Lenny invites Lou and Eve over for dinner, determined to smooth tensions and work out a truce.

As Rory and Lou are forced to confront their tensions, the pair realise that they may have more in common than they realise.

Stevie thinks everyone has forgotten his 40th birthday and is feeling miffed. Moping off to work, he is kidnapped by Bob and Angus, who dupe him into believing they have a special day of celebrations planned - but only succeed in making him feel more overlooked than ever.
