In this eagerly anticipated instalment, the medical personnel confront their most formidable challenges to date, battling inner demons whilst striving to safeguard their cherished Emergency Department from closure and mentoring a fresh cohort of doctors.

As the Emergency Department grapples with overwhelming demands and scrutiny from the Care Quality Commission (CQC), characters Flynn Byron, portrayed by Olly Rix, and Siobhan McKenzie, played by Melanie Hill, rally the team to prevent internal tensions from fracturing their unity.
The series also delves into evolving relationships, with Faith Dean (Kirsty Mitchell) and Iain Dean (Michael Stevenson) navigating a significant new hurdle in their partnership, while the romance between Cameron Mickelthwaite (Barney Walsh) and Indie Jankowski (Naomi Wakszlak) intensifies.

Stepping into the new roles are Aron Julius, known for his appearances in Death In Paradise and Silent Witness, as the charming yet disarming Dr. Matty Linlaker, and Jasmine Bayes, recognised from Doctor Who and Vera, as the tentative but competent Kim.

Casualty returns to BBC One / BBC One HD / BBC iPlayer, with Learning Curve, on Saturday 10 January 2026.
