Tough times ahead for The Bailey Family this week as James Bailey (Nathan Graham) and Michael Bailey (Ryan Russell) are racially targeted by a Weatherfield Police officer. James will be offered £30,000 for an interview and the footballer will have his sights set on a sports car. Before buying, he and his brother, Michael, takes the car out for a spin to see if it's up to standard. Their excitment will be short-lived when a member of Weatherfield Poilice pulls the pair over. Being a bit confused with the situation, James will ask PC Brody (Daniel Jillings) why he decided to get them to pull over. Suddenly the Constable has James in handcuffs, arresting the innocent man for obstructing a police officer. During the arrest, James loses his footing and ends up on the ground with a leg injury. PC Craig Tinker (Colson Smith) will witness James lying in pain from afar. James will get taken to a local medical facility for evaluation and while waiting for a doctor to take a look at him, the Weatherfield County player is convinced his days on the field are over. Not because of the injured leg, but the arrest. Not believing James caused any obstruction, Michael suspects he and his brother are victims of an unprovoked racial abuse from the Police Constable. Michael tries to explain his thoughts but James won't be so sure. Returning home with crutches, James is spoken to again by Michael but James doesn't believe it to be anything other than legitimate. It's not until The Bailey Brothers see someone has uploaded a video of the arrest incident online that James comes to the realisation that they should make a formal complaint to Weatherfield Police. When PC Brody discovers Michael & James have submitted a formal complaint, he leans on PC Tinker for support and hopes Craig takes his side when he tells him that he thought there was no problems with James' driving and didn't call for any police involvement whatsoever.

In Coronation Street on Monday 26 July 2021, a potential new love interest storyline will be explored for Aadi Alahan (Adam Hussain). Fancying his chances, Aadi will try turing on his charm with Summer Spellman (Harriet Bibby) in Roy's Rolls. Coronation Street continues on ITV/STV.
Laura Neelan (Kel Allen) wants to cash in on her daughter's misery and looks to sell her story, to the Weatherfield Gazette, for a small fortune of £30,000 but her plans are soon scuppered when Chris, a colleague of Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard), tells him of what's going on and Daniel forwards the information to Toyah Battersby (Georgia Taylor) & Imran Habeeb (Charlie De Melo). Using his legal powers of persuasion, Imran does his best to blackout Weatherfield Gazette's reporting of what has happened to Kelly Neelan (Millie Gibson). Furthermore, Toyah & Imran speak to Laura and tell her they will have no choice but to report Laura to Social Services. It won't be long until a Police Officer pays UnderWorld a visit and arrests Laura for Child Neglect. Thinking it was either Toyah, Imran or both who called the Police, Laura points the finger of blame in their direction. Later, Toyah & Imran go to the Detention Centre to pay Kelly a visit. Toyah & Imran let Kelly know that even if Laura doesn't support her, they will have Kelly's back every step of the way. Toyah and Imran visit Kelly and assure that she might not have her mother's support, but they’ll be there for her every step of the way. After, Kelly speaks to her Social Worker and explains how Laura used to beat her up when she was younger then disappear for days on end. These scenes air between Monday 26 July 2021 & Friday 23 July 2021.
Coronation Street continues on ITV/STV. Natasha Blakeman (Rachel Leskovac) had a meeting so dropped Sam Blakeman (Jude Riordan) off with Gail Rodwell (Helen Worth). Rachel & Gail discussed what the youth of today like to do. Gail made a comment how Max likes the video game Donkey Kong whereas Sam was busy on his electronic tablet researching borders of countries across the World. Before leaving number 8 Coronation Street, Natasha made comments on how it was a shame the kids couldn't play outside because of the giant sinkhole in the back garden. Gail told Natasha she couldn't afford to get it fixed because the last time David Platt (Jack P. Shepherd) checked, it would cost "an arm and a leg". Surprisingly, Natasha propositioned Gail with offering a loan. Audrey Roberts (Sue Nicholls) soon arrived and Gail left to go clean Natasha & Sam's flat. Gail soon returns and finds Audrey slummped on the sofa drinking some wine. Upon Gail's return, she noticed Sam had made an electricity conductor board using Natasha's silver bracelet.
Enquiring about the honesty on how Sam aquired the bracelet, Sam said Natasha doesn't like when he uses her jewellery for projects. For some weird reason, Gail then took the bracelet off of the conductor board for "safe keeping". Eventually, Natasha came back to number 8 Coronation Street to collect Sam and praise Gail for her work by saying the place is "spotless" only to be told Audrey is upstairs "sleeping it off". When Gail went to give Natasha the spare key back, Natasha's bracelet fell out of Gail's handbag which shocked Natasha. Natasha immediately was concered as to why her bracelet ended up in Gail's handbag and Gail tried to cover for Sam by saying it accidentally fell in there. Soon, Audrey came down wondering what the fuss was about. Audrey was quick to defend Gail but it was Sam, himself, who owned up to the bracelet's status. Following months of Domestic Abuse, Yasmeen Metcalfe (Shelley King) is currently trying to rebuild her life. Her abuser, Geoff Mecalfe (who was portrayed by Ian Bartholomew), may be dead but he's still in the mind of Yasmeen. In tonight's (Wednesday 13 January 2021) Coronation Street episodes, Asha Alahan (Tanisha Gorey) celebrated a birthday with her twin brother Aadi Alahan (Adam Hussain). After a disappointing present in the form of a shop sign from her dad, Dev Alahan (Jimmi Harkishin), Asha went to Roy's Rolls where she was greeted from her friend Nina Lucas (Mollie Gallagher) who gifted Asha an identical choker neclace earlier.
Asha proudly wore the choker as it is one of her more favourite presents but her boyfriend, Corey Brent (Maximus Evans), had other ideas. Yasmeen was sitting a few tables away, witnessing the whole thing when Corey belittled Asha for wearing the choker. Basically likening Asha to a dog as the choker resembled a dog collar. Corey's actions almost mirrored Geoff's to Yasmeen. Yasmeen couldn't help but see herself in Asha. Later, when Corey left Roy's Rolls, Yasmeen stood up and calmly spoke to Asha about the choker incident. Yasmeen tried to reassure Asha that Corey wasn't being very kind. Yasmeen went on to explain Asha wasn't made to remove the choker. At first, Asha dismissed Yasmeen saying it's just what couples do - calling it 'bants' - but when Nina noticed Asha wasn't wearing the choker, Nina asked Asha if she was OK where Asha shook her head in the no fashion. In the end, Asha decided to terminate her relationship with Corey and live her life her way. Coronation Street continues on ITV/STV. Aadi & Asha Alahan turned 16-years-old in tonight's (Wednesday 13 January 2021) Coronation Street episodes. Aadi Alahan (Adam Hussain) wanted a moped but he didn't want to share one with his sister Asha Alahan (Tanisha Gorey) - who was more interested in texting her 'loving' boyfriend. In fact, Dev Alahan (Jimmi Harkishin) thought of the ultimate gesutre and decided to put their initials on his shop's branding. Both children were left hugely disappointed and Asha claimed she "couldn't think of anything worse" leaving Dev at a loss for words. Coronation Street is back at 20:30 this evening on ITV/STV.
Todd Grimshaw (Gareth Pierce) is back in Weatherfield and has been an absolute pest to mother Eileen Grimshaw (Sue Cleaver) in recent weeks. To cut a long story short, Todd owes Mick Chaney (Neil Bell) - a very dangerous man by all accounts - some money and probably other things. So, once Todd got wind of Eileen being summoned by Weatherfield Police to identify a body, Todd had a bright idea to get his mum to say the body was his to fake his death so all the bad guys would leave him alone. In tonight's (Monday 12 October 2020) it was up to Eileen to identify the body but would she say it's Todd's? Viewers were left wondering if Eileen would in fact claim Todd to be dead but it wasn't long before they - and Todd - found out what Eileen decided to do. Eileen decided to not honour Todd's wishes and told Weatherfield Police the body was not his. When Todd found out he told Eileen she would never see him again leaving Eileen devastated.
Coronation Street continues on ITV/STV. Todd Grimshaw (Bruno Langley) left in 2017 after he assaulted a police officer and has been on-the-run since. In recent weeks, viewers of Coronation Street have witnessed Sean Tully (Antony Cotton), Billy Mayhew (Daniel Brocklebank) & Mary Taylor (Patti Clare) search for Todd as a text message from his old phone said to leave money in Victoria Gardens for him to collect later but although the message was sent from his mobile, it wasn't Todd who sent it - someone else found his phone and thought she would try her luck. The decision was made by Billy, Sean & Mary to report Todd as a missing person before Eileen Grimshaw (Sue Cleaver) arrived back to Weatherfield earlier this month. In tonight's double-episode (Friday 09 September 2020), PC Craig Tinker (Colson Smith) paid Eileen a visit telling her someone matching Todd's description has died and she was required to formally identify the body. Of course, Todd had already been in-touch with Eileen so she knew he wasn't dead. For the first time in approximately three years, Todd Grimshaw (Gareth Pierce) came face-to-face with his mother but their reunion didn't last long as someone who Todd stole from was on their tail and demanded money from him. Todd, being Todd, managed to "talk" the baddie away by whacking him over the head with a wooden plank causing the thug to be knocked out leaving Mick (the baddie) on the ground unconscious while Todd & Eileen had a proper catch-up. Later in the conversation, Eileen told Todd that she was required to identify a body which gave Todd an idea - if Eileen told the police the body was his then that would mean a death notice in the newspapers which would in turn give Todd all the room he needed to "properly disapppear". In the closing moments of the Damon Alexis-Rochefort episode, Coronation Street fans were left wondering what Eileen was going to do. Todd Grimshaw is now played by Gareth Pierce because Bruno Langley was fired by ITV/Coronation Street for legal reasons.
Gareth Pierce is 39 and from Pwllheli, Gwynedd, Wales. You can find out Eileen's decision as Coronation Street continues on Monday at 19:30 on ITV/STV. David Platt (Jack P. Shepherd) has begun to be a little suspicious of local businessman Ray Crosby (Mark Frost). In last week's episodes, viewers saw David's back garden suffer a strange sinkhole and it was revealed to the eagle-eyed watchers that Ray had something to do with it which has remained unbeknown to David and The Platts.
The Platts were told to move out as their home was deemed unsuitable and with nowhere to live, Ray stepped-in to offer them a room at one of his hotels in Manchester. In one of tonight's (Monday 14 September 2020) episodes, David visited Ray at Viaduct Bistro to thank him for the generous hospitality. Having a conversation, David asked what Ray was getting out of this arrangement. Ray reminded him of the trouble he had with Michelle Connor. Ray went on to explain that he wants people to see that he is a nice man despite what others may think and hopes his gesture towards The Platts will garner more customers to his Mawdesley Street restaurant. David became skeptical and couldn't believe his ears, but with Ray being the one responsible for the mess in David's garden, why is Ray being so nice to The Platts all of a sudden? Coronation Street continues this Wednesday on ITV/STV. Last night in Weatherfield, Tim Metcalfe (Joe Duttine) chose to sleep on the sofa while his wife Sally Metcalfe (Sally Dynevor) slept upstairs. The reason for this is of course Tim's father, Geoff Metcalfe (Ian Bartholomew). With Geoff still playing the innocent with his son, it was up to Sally to do some digging on her father-in-law. In tonight's (Monday 07 September 2020) episode, viewers saw Sally have a discussion with fellow Team Yasmeen member Cathy Matthews (Melanie Hill). The pair spoke about the allusive CCTV which has inexplicably vanished from the face of the Earth. Eventually, Cathy gave Sally food-for-thought when mentioning Geoff's CCTV would most likely still be on his laptop computer. The CCTV is likely to clear Yasmeen Metcalfe (Shelley King) of any wrongdoing and would get her out of police custody. Sally soon went round to Geoff & Yasmeen's and thinking the former was out, she let herself in. After bagging the laptop, Geoff came back unexpectedly causing Sally to panic and hide in the kitchen while Geoff popped upstairs. Sally tried to escape out the back door but it was locked. Geoff quickly reappeared downstairs wondering what Sally was doing in 'his' house. Sally tried to disguise her visit as 'looking for a book' for Yasmeen to read in the local medical facility where she's convalescing from the suspected Heart Attack.
Of course, Geoff demanded to see the book Sally had taken - she presented him with one of his and he refused to let Yasmeen have it. Geoff tried to explain he's still very much the victim by listing all the people who are against him but Sally poked the bear by telling him "even Tim is starting to see the light". Like a switch, Geoff was enraged by Sally's comment and threatened her, evilly. Sally asked Geoff "are you threatening me" and he responded with "yes, I am". Coronation Street went off-air leaving viewers wondering what's next for the former Mayor of Weatherfield. Coronation Street continues on ITV/STV. |
