BEN'S GUARDIAN ANGEL DELIVERS A GLIMMER OF HOPE | EASTENDERS SPOILERS

8/9/2020

Picture
It's been a trying time for Ben Mitchell (Max Bowden) as he lives life a completely deaf man but in tonight's (Tuesday 08 September 2020) episode he was given a smidgen of hope.
Picture
At a local medical facility near to Walford, Ben was accompanied by his Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) & Lola Pearce (Danielle Harold) as he waited patiently for his appointment time with Dr. Laghari (Ezra Faroque Khan).
Picture
Soon enough he was called in for an evaluation to see how his operation went.  At first it would appear things weren't working but a guardian angel arrived in the form of PC Callum Highway (Tony Clay), who is of course Ben's boyfriend, and suddenly a miracle occurred.
Picture
Stood at the door was Callum (who arrived late due to work commitments).  Ben turned from Dr. Laghari to see Callum who was asking how everything was.

Ben told his lover that it didn't work but upon Dr. Laghari making more minor adjustments, Ben turned his back (to look at his surgeon) on Callum.

As Callum was still speaking and the adjustment was made, Ben suddenly heard his partner talking and was given the best glimmer of hope in months.
EastEnders continues on BBC One at 19:35 (Thursday 10 September 2020).

GRAY TURNS THE TABLES IN ANOTHER CRUEL TWIST | EASTENDERS SPOILERS

8/9/2020

Picture
It's been a tough lockdown for Chantelle with Gray heightening his domestic abuse.  Tonight (Tuesday 08 September 2020) took a turn for the worse at number 1 Albert Square.
Picture
When Chantelle Atkins (Jessica Plummer) was out of the house discussing her financial arrangements with Kheerat Panesar (Jaz Deol), Gray Atkins (Toby-Alexander Smith) was working-from-home on the laptop where he came across something alarming - a popup featuring an advert for Divorce Lawyers.  To irk Gray's suspicions even more he checked the Internet history to find it was wiped clean.  Chantelle's conspiring was exposed.
Picture
Soon, Chantelle arrived back claiming she was at a client but Grey picked apart her "slutty" attire and more or less accusing his wife of cheating on him.  To make matters worse, Gray stuck the proverbial knife in and declared he wants a divorce.  Gray went on further to explain he'll be taking Mackenzie Atkins (Isaac Lemonis) & Mia Atkins (Mahalia Malcolm) away, too, basically denying Chantelle access.
Chantelle locked herself in the bathroom and went for a bath.  She thought she would be safe until Gray came and unlocked the bathroom snib from the other side of the door - much to Chantelle's horror.

Gray proceeded to taunt his wife with more evil games and then - in his most sinister move yet - made Chantelle hold her breath underwater for a dangeous amount of time making her "prove" she still loves him.
Picture
Pulling herself together, Chantelle manages to escape the house where she sees Kheerat, again.  Because Chantelle told Kheerat earlier that she was divorcing Gray, Kheerat told her he would get the money to her in a couple of weeks.  To the worry of the abused woman, she told Kheerat a couple of weeks would just be too long as she plans on leaving tomorrow.
Picture
Kheerat would have got the money to Chantelle sooner if it weren't for Suki Kaur Panesar (Balvinder Sopal) keeping tabs on the family's finances.

KIRSTY REVEALS TO SHARON TRUTH OVER DENNIS' DEMISE AND A FEW MORE THINGS WE LEARNT IN EPISODE 6125 | EASTENDERS SPOILERS

7/9/2020

Picture
EastEnders is back after a 53-day sabattical following CoronaVirus closing the doors on production at Elstree Studios and tonight's (Monday 07 September 2020) was a great way to welcome viewers back to Walford.
Kirsty Cotton drops a bombshell:
Picture
Placing the famous Queen Victoria Bust on The Queen Vic bar, Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt) proudly told Kathy Beale (Gillian Taylforth) that it was a "fresh start" as far as The Beale Family are concerned.
Picture
With Kirsty Cotton (Milly Zero) and Ian at court over Kirsty's drug offences, Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean) is left alone in the pub.  Soon, Sharon spotted The Queen Victoria Bust and everything from the day Dennis Rickman JR. died came flooding back to her.

Back from the court, Ian was being Ian and asking Kirsty for a "thank you" as she wasn't sent into custody.  Kirsty left because she believed Ian would hold something else against her.
Picture
In Albert Square Gardens, Speaking to Bobby Beale (Clay Milner Russell), Bobby tried to comfort Kirsty by telling her she's nothing like Nick Cotton (her father) and that was enough for Kirsty to be exactly like her father.  In the closing moments of the much-anticipated return Kirsty revealed to Sharon that it was Ian who locked Dennis in a room on the boat and subsequently was the reason Dennis died.
Picture
Sharon & Ian's happy bubble well and truly popped.
Chantelle Atkins wants a divorce:
Picture
Lockdown at The Atkins has been particularly harsh on a member of the family.  Outside Walford East, Chantelle Atkins (Jessica Plummer) waited nervously for David (Tom Joyner) - a lawyer from a rival firm.  When David arrived - albeit late - Chantelle told him she wants to start divorce proceedings against husband Gray Atkins (Toby-Alexander Smith).  Viewers will be aware Chantelle has been the victim of Domestic Abuse from Gray and during COVID-19 Lockdown, Chantelle's abuse has got considerably worse.
Picture
With Suki Kaur Panesar (Balvinder Sopal) looking on - unbenown to Mrs. Atkins - Chantelle tells David she "needs the best divorce lawyer I can find".
Picture
What will Suki do with this information?

David and Chantelle had a long conversation and things were going really positive for her until he mentioned the potential costs it would be if Gray contested the divorce.

Chantelle wore her heart on her sleeve, bit the bullet and bravely asked Kheerat for a massive loan.  Carry on reading for why this request was made difficult.
Linda and Mick adjust to life out of The Queen Vic:
Picture
Mick Carter (Danny Dyer) & Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) have been running The Queen Vic for a number of years but before selling it to Ian before the episodes ran out.

In the cafe, Linda & Mick discussed where they've been staying - with Jean Slater (Gillian Wright) - and that Mick has been homeschooling their son Oliver Carter (Harry Farr).
Ben's past comes back to haunt him:
Picture
(image from a previous episode)
Shrimpy (Ben Champniss) was mugged when at his stall by a lowlife who tried to flee the scene but swift work by PC Callum Highway (Tony Clay) who was off-duty at the time managed to catch the robber and place him under arrest.

Sadly, DI Stevie Thompson (Philip Wright) caught up with Halfway later at the Police Station explaining the suspect he brought in is citing "excessive force" and then on his way to a local medical facility for evaluation.  Thompson immediately put Callum on desk duty giving him a load of CCTV footage to watch.

Viewing the CCTV files, Callum became alarmed as he saw what looked like Ben Mitchell (Max Bowden) carrying a firearm.
The Panesars are under scrutiny:
Picture
Just like all businesses in United Kingdom, The Panesars were visited by a Trading Standards Officer who made sure they're sticking to Government Guideliness regarding CoronaVirus Pandemic.

Suki & Kherrat weren't too impressed with the intrusion especially since Gray was the one who called Trading Standards on then.

REVIEW: FINAL EASTENDERS BEFORE COVID-19 LOCKDOWN

16/6/2020

Picture
Back on 23 March, Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced closure of workplaces across Britain in an attempt to reduce the spread of the deadly CoronaVirus (COVID-19).

Elsrtree Studios, like all of us, aren't above the law and therefore had to close its doors until further notice.  This meant for the first time in 35 years, EastEnders had to stop being produced by the BBC.
Picture
Of course, Jon Sen (Executive Producer - EastEnders), like everyone else, had no idea of the Pandemic which has intruded on near 67 billion lives in the United Kingdom but watching tonight's episode, you would have to think - did he?
This evening's episode - directed by Thomas Hescott - will give you a terrific series finale feel at the closing moments of the programme and it will leave you with a lot of "what if" questions.
Picture
As already revealed, Jay Brown (Jamie Borthwick) visits his brother, Ben Mitchell (Max Bowden) but things soon become alarming when Ben collapses because of his deteriorating health complications.
Picture
Kirsty "Dotty" Cotton (Milly Zero) will confront Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt) after he set her up to be arrested in yesterday's episode.  After the war of words in this edition - written by Katie Douglas - viewers will be sure to have questions on what's next for Kirsty & Ian's developing rivalry.
Picture
No episode would be complete without a visit to The Queen Victoria and the iconic public house is at the heart of tonight's showing.
Picture
Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) has been wanting to buy back The Queen Vic from Mick Carter (Danny Dyer) and Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) for months but with Linda throwing a spanner in the works of Phil's plans it will be a back and forth battle for the Mitchell patriarch.

As the new owner of The Queen Vic is revealed it will be a Doof Doof for the ages.  The ending will leave you with wanting so much more from the BBC One Serial Drama and the incapability to wait until the next episode.

EastEnders airs BBC One, tonight, at 19:30.

Picture
Last Tuesday in EastEnders, viewers saw Whitney Dean (Shona McGarty) be clutched at knife-point by evil Leo's mum, Michaela Turnbull (Fiona Allen) after the latter was arrested for trying to pervert the course of justice in Whitney's case of murder.
Picture
In tonight's episode (Monday 27 April 2020), fans of the BBC One Serial Drama saw Whitney's family wonder where she is after Sonia Fowler (Natalie Cassidy) made the discovery that her niece wasn't in her bedroom.

During an incident in the kitchen, Jean Slater (Gillian Wright) broke a dish and wanted to be the one to tidy the mess away.  It was when she put the broken remains of the plate in the bucket was a note from Whitney explaining she's runaway from Walford.

With the note being in the bin, it was obvious Whitney had thought of running away but decided against it by putting the letter in the bucket.

Jean told of the contents of Whitney's note explaining of her vanishing leaving her family to wonder where she had runaway to.

It's never that simple in Walford as the viewing audience discovered at the closing moments of tonight's episode.
Picture
Whitney was seen banging a door of a bedsit where she has been locked up by Michaela in an attempt to stop Whitney from appearing in court.  If Whitney no shows in the dock, it is more than probable she'll be imprisoned indefinitely - as alluded to by her solicitor, Gray Atkins (Toby-Alexander Smith) earlier in this evening's episode.
Picture
Will Whitney manage to escape her captor or will she be left to die in the grotty bedsit?

It is safe to say, Leo had been keeping an eye on Whitney.
Picture
With Gray Atkins (Toby-Alexander Smith) suspended from work, Whitney has been left all alone inside prison.

EASTENDERS SPOILERS: SUKI REVEALS HER CANCER LIE TO THE FAMILY AS VIEWERS BRAND HER A "BITCH"

9/3/2020

Picture
It's been a couple months of viewers knowing that Suki Kaur Panesar (Balivinder Sopal) is living a lie and tonight - in true EastEnders fashion - her game was up.
Picture
Egged on by Shirley Carter (Linda Henry), Jean Slater (Gillian Wright) has been on the fence in relation to Suki's cancer diagnosis so tonight was the night Jean did some investigating.
Jean began her day making cakes with Shirley for a Coffee Morning with fellow cancer survivors later in the day.  Jean vowed to get to the bottom of Suki's apparent lie.
Later at the Coffee Morning, Jean put her plan into action and started to point out the discrepancies in Suki's fibs as she informed the group how hard it was for her to eat due to the immense fatigue rigourous cancer treatment causes whereas Suki is effortlessly stuffing her face with Jean's Victoria Sponge.
The group shared their war stories about how they survived until Jean called-out Suki in front of everyone and demanded she share her experiences.
With nothing to explain, Suki reiterated what Jean told her a number of days ago much to Jean's disgust and then the penny dropped, Suki has been lying all along.
Picture
Later in The Queen Vic, Suki arrived with her family for a few drinks then Jean & Shirley walked in to the boozer a while after.  Jean was about to leave when she clocked Suki but Shirley persuaded her to stay.
Eventually, Jean confronted Suki who was surrounded by her children, and Iqra Ahmed (Priya Davdra), telling them all Suki doesn't have cancer.
Initially, her boys and Ash Kaur (Gurlaine Kaur Garcha) stood up for their mother to the point Pavinder "Vinny" Panesar (Shiv Jalota) almost had a fisticuff with Shirley.
Picture
After Jean said her piece she left The Panesars to it.
Back at 5A Albert Square, tensions were at an all-time high until Kheerat Panesar (Jaz Deol) and Ash began to argue it was then Suki revealed her shocking truth that she doesn't have cancer causing her family to be in despair.
Viewers brand Suki a "bitch" on Twitter.

Suki, Suki, Suki. We have FINALLY seen her. And i LOVE it. Omg she really is THAT bitch #eastenders

EASTENDERS SPOILERS: KIRSTY BLACKMAILS IAN GUNNING FOR THE ARCHES

5/3/2020

Picture
In tonight's - Thursday 05 March 2020 - EastEnders, Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt) was given a hefty ultimatum by Kirsty Cotton (Milly Zero).
Picture
During the Colin Wyatt episode, Kirsty learnt of Phil's plans - via Shirley Carter (Linda Henry) - to temporarily close Mitchell's Autos leaving Kirsty without a job to fund her through college.
Less than sympathetic Shirley told Kirsty to lock-up after the finished maintaining a vehicle which caused Dot Branning's granddaughter to panic.
Picture
Later, Kirsty discovered some unanswered phone calls on The Arches' business phone and delightfully informed the caretaker manager of how many clients The Arches could have and that they would be "quids in".
Shirley gave Kirsty the benefit of the doubt and told her to pursue the potential clients for Ricky Champ's daughter's favourite.
Picture
As Kirsty trawled through the voicemails, she stumbled across one from Dennis "Denny" Rickman (Bleu Landau) begging Ian for forgiveness when he was imprisoned in a locker room by the Walford Councillor in the barge during EastEnders' 35 Anniversary week on the River Thames.
It was not long before Kirsty figured out what Ian had done.
Kirsty wouldn't be "Nasty" Nick Cotton's daughter for nothing so formulating a plan, she marched over to Walford East to confront Ian about her discovery.
Ian tried to brush it off at first, reminding her of the warning he gave earlier in the epidode.  Ian told Kirsty that no-one would believe a petty criminal's daughter over a local councillor.
Picture
Mr. Beale thought he got away with it until Kirsty explained what a "pocket dial" is before pressing speaker phone and playing the damning voice message Dennis left on the phone.
It was in the closing moments of the episode where Kirsty gave Ian an ultimatum of her own.
Picture
Reminding Ian that Ben Mitchell (Max Bowden) is his brother, she demanded Ian get Ben to sign The Arches over to her.
Viewers will have to wait to discover what Ian's answer will be.
EastEnders continues on BBC One.
