Tension remains to be tense between Leyla Cavanagh (Rokhsaneh Ghawam-Shahidi) and Jacob Gallagher (Joe-Warren Plant) following recent events with how things are with Dr. Liam Cavanagh (Jonny McPherson).
In David's, Jacob attempts to speak with Leyla about ditching his A Levels but Leyla has other things on her mind and drops a pregnancy test in her bag.
When she finally has a moment of solitude, Leyla pumps some encouragement into herself and takes the pregnancy test which returns as positive.
Throughout the week, Leyla wrestles with telling Liam or not.
As Liam & Jacob build broken bridges, Leyla's mind remains conflicted.
Just when she's about ready to explain all to her husband, Liam admits he is struggling with life at the moment and tells the mother-to-be that he cannot cope with any sudden surprises leaving Leyla on tenterhooks and the realisation that being pregnant might just break her marriage forever.
