In upcoming episodes of Coronation Street, the programme releases a new promotional trailer that signals the approach of a murder involving one of Weatherfield's residents previously identified as potential victims.

The February announcement listed the possible targets, and each of those individuals has since shifted further into behaviour that supplies clear motives for the crime.

The central question centres on which of them meets their end on the night of the wedding, where Carla Connor (Alison King) and Lisa Swain (Vicky Myers) tie the knot. and which individual carries out the act.

The trailer, directed by Suri Krishnamma, presents Theo Silverton (James Cartwright), Carl Webster (Jonathan Howard), Jodie Ramsey (Olivia Frances Brown), Megan Walsh (Beth Nixon) and Maggie Driscoll (Pauline McGlynn) wearing funeral clothing while they proceed together along the well-known cobbles.

They turn into Rosamund Street where funeral director George Shuttleworth (Tony Mawdsley) stands in front of a hearse. George Shuttleworth turns towards the group and raises a funeral wreath formed in the shape of a question mark.

The schedule covers five nights later this month.

Each episode returns to the same calendar day but presents events from the viewpoint of a different potential victim.

At the close of the week Betsy Swain (Sydney Martin) locates one of the five deceased, after which the process of identifying the perpetrator begins.

The murder takes place on the night of Carla and Lisa's wedding.

You can view the new trailer below.
