Patsy Kensit prepares to reprise her role as Sadie King in Emmerdale later this year.

The character first appeared in the village in 2004 as the former wife of Jimmy King (Nick Miles), bringing a calculated approach and sharp ambition that shaped several major story arcs within Emmerdale's rich history.

​Those earlier episodes featured a house explosion, complicated personal entanglements with Robert Sugden and Cain Dingle, and a final confrontation in which Cain outmanoeuvred Sadie and departed with the ransom money.  

Kensit's extensive television and film portfolio includes appearances in Lethal Weapon 2 and Holby City.

Her return aligns with the programme's ongoing development of established figures who continue to influence village life.

Series Producer Laura Shaw has noted the production team's satisfaction at securing the actor's involvement and anticipates that Sadie King's reappearance will integrate seamlessly into current narratives set in the Yorkshire Dales.

Kensit has spoken of her enthusiasm for revisiting the role and the positive memories from her previous time on the show.
