Three people were arrested in Accrington on 18 May 2026 during a Money Laundering investigation.
Police Officers stopped a black Volkswagen Golf on Blackburn Road at 21:50 and found a large quantity of cash in the underwear of a 29-year-old man.
A 32-year-old man and 55-year-old woman were also arrested at a residential address.
All have been released under investigation.

Melton Times: "NEW BYPASS IS FINALLY OPEN"

Melton Mowbray's new bypass named Pork Pie Way will open fully to traffic on Monday.
The 4.4 mile single carriageway road with cycle lanes and six roundabouts was chosen by public vote and took three years to build.
It is Leicestershire County Council's largest road project and aims to support new jobs and homes.

Emergency Services attended the Car Park at The Rock in Bury for around 12 hours after a concern for welfare report about a woman on the sixth floor.
The incident started at 04:45 and ended at 17:15 when the woman was safely brought down and taken to a local Medical Facility.
Derby Way was closed but Rochdale Road remained open.

Robert F. Kenyon the Reform UK candidate for the by-election in Makerfield suggested King Charles should open Buckingham Palace and its grounds for Asylum Seekers.
The candidate's Social Media account was suspended after posting remarks about a two-tier policing system and an invasion of foreign criminals.
Reform UK are refusing to investigate.

Jeff Stancer aged 60 from Long Sutton had surgery to remove 80 per cent of the tumour but faces a six-month prognosis.
​His daughter Ellie Merrison has raised 1 130 pounds so far.

An delivery driver from Amazon in Oldham was caught on doorbell camera taking a pet cat from a garden in the Elland area. 
Catalin Stancu aged 41 pleaded guilty to the new offence of taking a cat and received a suspended eight-week prison sentence 15 rehabilitation days a three-month curfew and 500 pounds compensation.
The three-year-old rescue cat was returned after three days missing.

Tributes have been paid to 17-year-old Erica De Sousa Correia who died in a local Medical Facility in the early hours of 19 May 2026 after a crash on Walker Fold Road in Bolton, Greater Manchester.
It happened on 05 May 2026.
The collision followed a police pursuit.
A 17-year-old boy has been charged with causing serious injury by dangerous driving and remains on bail.
