Shane Richie - real name Shane Patrick Roche - was born on Wednesday 11 March 1964 in the Kensington area of London.
He is probably best known for presenting Lucky Numbers, a bingo style game show, on ITV. Or later as Alfie Moon, the cheeky chappy, in BBC One's EastEnders.
Shane does a lot of charity work. According to reports he is a patron of Cherry Trees who provide support for people with disabilities. The other charity Shane is involved with is UK's Huntington's Disease Association.
