Measles is a highly contagious infectious disease caused by the measles virus.
Symptoms usually develop 10–12 days after exposure to an infected person and last 7–10 days.
Initial symptoms typically include fever, often greater than 40°C, cough, runny nose, and inflamed eyes.
Small white spots known as Koplik's spots may form inside the mouth two or three days after the start of symptoms.
A red, flat rash which usually starts on the face and then spreads to the rest of the body typically begins three to five days after the start of symptoms.
Common complications include diarrhea (in approximately 8% of cases), middle ear infection (7%), and pneumonia (6%).
These occur in part due to measles-induced immunosuppression.
Less commonly seizures, blindness, or inflammation of the brain may occur.
It can lead to pregnancy loss, too.
Anyone can get measles if they have not been vaccinated or have not had it before, although it's most common in young children.

Miscarriage - also known as spontaneous abortion and pregnancy loss - is the natural death of an embryo or fetus before it is able to survive independently.
Some use the cutoff of 20 weeks of gestation, after which fetal death is known as a stillbirth.
The most common symptom of a miscarriage is vaginal bleeding with or without pain.
Sadness, anxiety and guilt may occur afterwards.
Tissue and clot-like material may leave the uterus and pass through and out of the vagina.
When a woman keeps having miscarriages, infertility is present.
SIMBA CHARITY:

SIMBA Charity's groups open to anyone who has gone through the death of a baby at any stage of pregnancy or close to the time of birth.
SIMBA Charity's groups are all within central locations and accessible by all and open to other family members and friends.
The first SIMBA support group started in May 2011 after a request from a bereaved parent who felt there was need for a group in the area where she lived, a place where she could talk to other parents who had gone through similar.
SIMBA responded to her and others needs and set up their first group not long after.
