Domestic violence (also named domestic abuse or family violence) is violence or other abuse by one person against another in a domestic setting, such as in marriage or cohabitation. 
​It may be termed intimate partner violence when committed by a spouse or partner in an intimate relationship against the other spouse or partner, and can take place in heterosexual or same-sex relationships, or between former spouses or partners.

Men's Advice Line are a team of friendly Helpline Advisors who offer practical advice, information and emotional support to male victims of domestic violence, as well as to concerned friends and family and frontline workers.
The service is run and managed by Respect.
Our focus is to increase the safety of men experiencing domestic abuse (and the safety of their children). 
Respect is a a company limited by guarantee (Company number 7582438) and a registered charity, number 1141636.
The Men’s Advice Line is funded by the Home Office, Government of Scotland, Scottish Women’s Aid and London Councils.

Victim Support Scotland, or simply VSS, supports and campaigns on behalf of victims and witnesses of crime in Scotland.
Victim Support Scotland are proud to serve victims and witnesses in the north of Britain by campaigning for their rights and helping to improve their experiences of the criminal justice system.
Their aim is to supporting, both, the victims and witnesses of any form of crime.
Victim Support Scotland provides support and information services to victims and witnesses of crime north of the border. 
Victim Support Scotland support 200,000 people affected by crime each year. 
This support is provided by staff and volunteers in national and local offices and court-based services across Scotland.
Victim Support Scotland are an independent charity and not part of the Police Scotland or Scottish Courts. 
All conversations with victims and witnesses are confidential and are not shared with people outside of Victim Support Scotland.
The service, provided by Victim Support Scotland, is completely free.
Victim Support Scotland's daily contact with victims and witnesses of crime gives the charity a unique insight into the issues that they face.

Obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD) is a mental health condition where a person has obsessive thoughts and compulsive activity.
An obsession is an unwanted and unpleasant thought, image or urge that repeatedly enters a person's mind, causing feelings of anxiety, disgust or unease.

The charity are there for the estimated three quarters of a million people living with and affected by Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) within Great Britain.
They exist to support people through the difficult times, right through to recovery and everything in between.
OCD-UK have been working for children and adults affected by Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder since 2004.
They provide advice, information, and support services for those affected by OCD, and campaign to end the trivialisation and stigma of OCD.
Uniquely, the charity is completely service-user led, everyone involved in the organisation have personal experience of OCD, either directly or through a loved one.
The generosity of their supporters means that our work really is life changing, your support helps us, help children and adults affected by Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder.
