Adnan exonerates a suspect at enormous personal cost to himself, which grinds the police investigation to a halt until a vital clue offers a glimmer of hope.

Meanwhile, Jenn's personal crisis deepens as the unexpected visit of her ex-husband leads to further tension with Chris and the children.
