Stephen tries to persuade Jenny to move on from Leo.  Stephen is worried as Jenny and Teddy arrange to meet up at Viaduct Bistro to discuss finding Leo.  He takes a photo of them together in the street and send them to Teddy from Leo's phone with a message telling him that a mate saw them and thought he might be interested.  To Stephen's horror, Teddy says he is going to go to Canada to speak to Leo face to face.  What will Stephen do next?  Gabrielle corners Stephen and demands her money.  Stephen does his best to fob her off, but Gabrielle makes it clear she is running out of patience.

Summer is stung by Billy's disapproval.  Summer tells Aaron that she has made an appointment with Dr. Gaddas to book an abortion.  Having seen the doctor, Summer admits to Aaron she can't help feeling upset.  Esther is gutted to learn about the planned termination and offers her money in a bid to change her mind.  Billy appears and is horrified to realise that Esther was trying to buy Summer’s baby and orders her to leave.  When Billy infers that he disapproves of abortion, Summer heads to her room, upset.  Todd speaks to Billy about how Summer feels and tells him he must support her.  How will Billy react?

Eileen gets a Halloween trick.  When Glenda calls at number 11 Coronation Street with a huge pumpkin to carve and display at The Rovers, Eileen is annoyed that she is treating her house like a workshop.  Eileen picks up Glenda's pumpkin and heads out with it.  As she strides down the street, she collides with Gail, trips over the pumpkin and knocks herself out.  George and Sean rush to Eileen's aid but are shocked as she comes round appearing uncharacteristically chilled and pleasant.

Daisy tackles the ghost of Sinead.  When Daisy admits that she is uncomfortable at the idea of moving into the flat when it holds so many memories of Sinead, Daniel snaps at her.  When Adam reveals that tomorrow is the anniversary of Sinead's death, Daisy feels terrible.

With Dev's help, Bernie sifts through the recycling until she finds the label from the clothes packaging with Fern’s address on it.  All that remains legible is 493C Church Lane.  Dev and a despondent Bernie return to the street having failed to locate 493C Church Lane.  Sympathetic Dev tells Bernie she can move into number 5 Coronation Street as her family are not making her welcome.

Introducing Craig Cheetham as Eric Sandford
Aaron strikes back.  Aaron's dad arrives at the garage visibly drunk and volatile and threatens Aaron over the stolen cash and marijuana.  He is sent packing by Kevin.  Aaron later meets up with Summer and she is shocked to discover that his dad attacked him when he got home.  Having heard from Fiz about Aaron stealing weed from his drugs, Paul calls at the flower shop flat and lays into Aaron for leading Summer astray.  When Paul grabs his bruised arm, Aaron winces in pain and lashes out, punching Paul in the face.  Summer watches in shock.  Paul tells Billy he is reporting him to Weatherfield Police.  But when Aaron explains to Billy that his dad regularly beats him Billy is sympathetic and heads off to stop Paul reporting Aaron.  Will he get to him in time?

Alya's secret plan unravels.  Dee-Dee admits to Alya she has decided not to return to her job in Los Angeles but hasn't told her family yet.  When Dee-Dee calls into Speed Daal with paperwork for Alya to sign, Zeedan realises she hasn't dropped Stu's case at all.  Dee-Dee is furious at Alya's duplicity but after listening to Alya's reasoning she says she will send the cup off and if Stu changes his mind then they will have the results for him.

Wendy sacrifices art for love.  Wendy calls at number 1 Coronation Street and explains she was shocked by Ken's declaration but shares his feelings and would like to be his companion.  But she says she will relinquish her leading role.  Will Mary get the gig?

David and Shona are proud of Max.  David and Shona are delighted by Max's glowing report from the Pupil Referral Unit and decide they will ask Weatherfield High School to take him back.  Max engages Maria in conversation to throw Chris and Blake off his tail.  While his ploy works, he is forced to accept Maria's invitation to join her in meeting a teenage refugee.  When Max reports that Maria introduced him to a refugee called Daryan and they got on well, Shona is impressed and reveals David is enquiring about him returning to his old school.

Tim's anniversary gift impresses Sally.  Tim pretends to have forgotten his wedding anniversary in a bid to wind up Sally.  But his plan backfires when Sally tears up his card and leaves number 4 Coronation Street in a huff.  Tim tracks down Sally and, apologising for his prank, presents her with a beautiful necklace for their anniversary.  As a reward for his thoughtful gift, Sally decks out their house as a romantic grotto and cooks Tim a special anniversary meal.  Grateful Tim gives Aggie a necklace to say thanks for helping him but Aggie can't help feeling guilty when Dee-Dee admires it.

Denouement of Nathan Graham as James Bailey
Alya gets a lead at Stu's family reunion.  A nervous Stu prepares to meet his granddaughter Eliza at Speed Daal and is delighted when the meeting goes well.  But the mood changes when Lucy arrives and insists that Bridget and Eliza leave the restaurant immediately.  A devastated Stu watches them go.  Meanwhile, at number 3 Coronation Street Dee-Dee tells Alya that there was no trace of Stu's DNA on Charlie's bag but it will be expensive to get the evidence re-tested.  When Alya spots the women leaving the restaurant she runs after them and accuses a flustered Lucy of hiding vital information linked to Stu's case.  Believing Lucy knows more than she is letting on Alya is determined to find the cash for the DNA test.  Stu tells Yasmeen and Alya that he no longer wants to pursue his case and simply wants to leave the past in the past.

James begins his next chapter.  Ronnie tells James there is a youth centre near Lewisham looking for a Football Coach.  Realising it is close to where Danny lives, James promises to call them straight away.  An excited James tells Ronnie that he got the job at the Youth Centre and starts tomorrow.  In Viaduct Bistro, James breaks the news to the family that he has landed a great new job, but it means moving to London.  Edison, Aggie, Michael and Dee-Dee bid an emotional farewell to James as he leaves the street.

Jenny fears that Glenda is out to replace her.  Glenda arrives for work dressed to the nines and ready to host the quiz but is furious when Daisy tells her Jenny is feeling better and will host the event.  When Jenny slips and twists her ankle on Glenda's newly mopped floor, Daisy insists on taking her to a local medical facility for evaluation.  As Jenny hobbles out, a victorious Glenda grabs the microphone.  When Jenny returns from Accident & Emergency with instructions to rest her sprained ankle she is put out to hear how Glenda's quiz night went down a storm with the locals and tells Daisy she believes Glenda orchestrated her accident.

Meanwhile, Bernie and Dev reunite.  At number 7 Coronation Street, Aadi urges Dev to make a go of things with Bernie if that’s what he wants.  Dev calls at number 5 Coronation Street and admits to Bernie that he thinks about her a lot and reckons they should give their relationship another chance.  Bernie is pleased.  But when Dev feels uncomfortable at having Bernie back working as his cleaner, Bernie calls Fern and tells her that she would be up for any more jobs she can throw her way.

Elsewhere, Ken's feelings for Wendy cause problems.  In Roy's Rolls, Ken beavers away on the Roxanna script.  Brian accuses him of bigging up Wendy's part simply because he fancies her.  Ken denies that is the case, but it’s clear Brian has hit a nerve.

Picture
The local Weatherfield pubs football match has a heart-stopping conclusion.  As James puts the team representing The Rovers Return through their paces, Dev gives a pre-match pep talk.  But when Tim misconstrues his words and thinks Dev is making a dig at his impotence, he accuses Peter of betraying his confidence and storms out.  With little choice, James agrees to step in.  As they set off, Aggie spots a glum Tim and invites him for a brew.  As Tim opens up to Aggie, the match kicks off.  The Flying Horse take the lead but with only minutes remaining, James gives the game his all, putting The Rovers Return in front, but suddenly he collapses.  Edison rushes across the pitch frantically calling an ambulance as Michael performs Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation on his brother.
