At Viaduct Bistro Debbie is stunned as Ray is arrested on suspicion of attempted rape. Dylan finally opens up to Sean and explains that he's being bullied at school because his Dad is a homosexual. In a bid to try and stop the house sales falling through, Ray telephones the bank. Meanwhile, as Alya helps Yasmeen with the last of her things, a call from the solicitor advises that there has been a delay as Ray's funds have yet to clear in the account. Yasmeen asserts that until she sees the colour of Ray's money, she is going nowhere and won't let him bully her like Geoff did. Alya is delighted to see a glimpse of her old Grandma. Ray assures her he is on it but when he meets up with Susan, Chairperson of the planning committee, she tells him she wants £20,000 or she will reveal how he bribed her. When Ray reveals he’s had to use the money earmarked for homes 4 and 6 to pay off Mick and another bung to Susan, Debbie is fuming. It is the end of an era for The Platt Family. David, Shona and Gail pack up the house, dreading their move. When Gail confides in Nick that she is too old to be slumming it on a rough council estate, will Nick cave and invite her to move in with him and Sam? Having taken a call from Violet, Sean reveals that Dylan has been suspended from school and is on his way back to Manchester. When Dylan arrives, he refuses to discuss it.
