Fiz and Tyrone are delighted that Hope is to return to school.  Fiz breaks the news to Jade that with Hope returning to Bessie Street, her services will no longer be required.  How will scheming Jade take the news?

Michelle gets a surprise confession.  Ray tells Michelle that he is dropping the case against her - but to watch her back.  Adam advises Michelle to ditch her plan to take the bistro from Robert.  Michelle is furious when Robert lets slip that Vicky knows about her ordeal with Ruairi.  Robert suggests to Michelle that they gather their family together to tell them about the upcoming wedding.  Painting on a smile, Michelle agrees, but tells Carla that the necklace he bought her isn’t enough to win her affections back.

Meanwhile Roy just cares far too much.  Roy is furious at Richard’s carer for her poor time-keeping.  Whilst confiding to Brian that he fears he may have made matters worse, Nina bursts in to tell him that Richard’s carer has quit her job because of him.  Desperate to spend more time with Richard and relieve Nina of her stress, Roy agrees to give Aggie more shifts in the cafe.  Nina is completely unimpressed when Roy announces to Richard that he’s going to take over her duties.

Elsewhere, Steve is disappointed when Emma reveals that Fiona has bought tickets for her to spend Christmas in Australia.  When Amy shows Emma the stockings that their dad has made for each of them, Emma decides to stay in Weatherfield much to Steve’s delightment.

Bernie and Paul stand together against Kel.  Paul confirms that Kel has been arrested and that he’ll soon have to give a statement.  Bernie tries to make her escape but Kel steals the house key and holds her hostage in number 5 Coronation Street.  Gemma & Paul rescue Bernie and she promises to be a better mum to them both. 

Chesney returns the stolen laptop to Daniel and he is thrilled.  Paul asserts that he wants to see Kel behind bars, and that he’s ready to make a statement.

Tyrone and Fiz play straight into Jade's hands.  Tyrone and Fiz are horrified to realise the fire must have been started by Hope.  Jack reveals that when he and Hope entered the backyard, the fire had already started.  Fiz breaks down, admitting to Tyrone that she was probably behind the factory fire too. 

Michael is Graced by his ex's presence.  Michael meets with Grace in the bistro and offers to make a regular payment towards Tianna’s upbringing.  Grace promises to consider it.

Meanwhile, Richard and Nina visit Roy at the cafe, and he promises to help them both as much as he can.  The brothers are overjoyed to discover they share a love of steam trains.

Elsewhere, when Nick reveals his plans for the factory, the girls are up in arms and to Nick’s irritation, Sarah takes their side.

Paul still cannot forgive Bernie.  Gemma reveals to Chesney that Kel is a paedophile, and he is horrified to think that he’s spent time with Joseph, and is glad when the police turn up and arrest him on suspicion of burglary.  Paul is furious when Bernie reveals she has reported Kel for sexual abuse, feeling unable to open up.  During his interview, the police show Kel the photos found at his flat.  He warns Bernie that she’ll regret crossing him.

Fiz worries that Hope has 'bin' staring fires.  Hope causes trouble when Fiz refuses to throw her a fireworks party.  Tyrone is concerned that Hope is up to her old tricks and suggests they throw the party to please her.  With the party underway, Fiz, Tyrone and Kevin suddenly realise the back yard is on fire, with Hope watching the flames with amusement.

Michael will not be defeated.  Michael calls Grace and begs her to give him another chance.

Meanwhile, Nick admits to Sarah that the new factory will focus on packing and distributing rather than sewing.

Elsewhere, Richard is insistent that he visits Weatherfield to see where Roy lives, much to Nina’s dismay.

At the HOP Office, Al reveals to Kim that it was Billy who attacked him.  Dawn, who overhears, is shocked and becomes furious at Billy.  It's not long before Dawn’s mind is whirring.  Later, Dawn learns Al’s secret.

After she sees Rhona and Graham happily spending time with one another at the playground, Kim she whips out her phone to make a call.  Marlon is dumbfounded when an authoritative Rhona says she’s introducing Graham to Leo.

Al asserts his authority.

Meanwhile, Aaron relents on his stance.

Elsewhere, Rhona is a bit concerned to learn that Graham tried speaking with Marlon about him seeing Leo.

Paul is forced to face his horrible past.  As Gemma and Bernie return with the laptops and photos Paul is horrified to see his terrible past laid bare before his eyes.  An emotional Paul recounts his childhood experiences with Kel, how Kel took him on trips out, how he admired Kel but ultimately Kel sexually abused him.  Bernie and Gemma are shocked to the core whilst Billy’s heart breaks for him.  Gemma urges Paul to report Kel to the police, but Paul refuses, adamant that to rake over the past would be far too painful.  Gemma feels for her brother.

Meanwhile, Aggie just cannot do right for doing wrong.  When Grace finds out that Aggie has consulted Adam about Michael’s parental rights she storms out saying she doesn’t need the hassle.  Michael is furious with his mother.

Elsewhere, Peter and Carla step-in for Daniel.  Peter and Carla insist they’ll look after Bertie for the day giving Daniel a bit of ‘me time’.  Daniel returns to number 1 Coronation Street clearly the worse for wear and highly strung.  Peter and Carla are concerned for him.

Bernie eventually computes the truth.  Gemma & Paul realise they may have been wrong about Bernie and find her in the pub.  Having apologised for wrongly accusing her, they realise that the only other person who had access to Billy’s diary was Kel.  Gemma and Bernie break into Kel’s flat and find not only Daniel’s laptop, but a stack of old photos of Paul and some other kids.  Gemma is horrified to realise of their significance.

Michael get's some answers to his questions.  A despondent Michael is telling his parents about seeing Grace with his daughter when there is a knock at the door and Grace is there, she tells him Grace needs a responsible father, someone she can look up to.  Michael begs her to let him be a part of his daughter’s life, but she leaves without promising anything. 

Beth, surprisingly, comes through for Daniel.  Daniel insists it’s time to make a start on clearing up his flat.  Peter is concerned for him.  Daniel lets himself into his flat but upon finding Sinead’s broken teacup on the floor, he breaks down in tears.  Beth goes round to Daniel’s flat to find him sobbing. 

Meanwhile, when Hope refuses to do as she’s told and deliberately splashes paint on Fiz’s blouse, Jade takes over and dispatching Fiz, quietly bribes Hope into helping her clear up the mess.

Elsewhere, Paul plucks up the courage and tells Rita that he’s moving in with Billy.  Rita is thrilled for the pair of them.

Michael gets a blast from the past.  As Michael and James wait in FreshCo’s car park to get James’ phone back Michael is shocked to see his ex Grace with her daughter, she blanks him and drives off.

Meanwhile, Peter tells Adam that Ken’s in hospital having been diagnosed with pneumonia.

Elsewhere, Robert suggests they should take Viaduct Bistro to the next level and create a franchise.  Michelle agrees it’s a good idea.

Daniel finally snaps under the pressure.  Daniel is devastated to discover the laptop has gone and decides to take matters into his own hands.  Craig is on a day off and offers to go with him to pawn shops in the area.  But when Daniel spots a laptop that looks like his in a glass cabinet he accuses the shopkeeper  of handling stolen goods and seizing a golf club he smashes the cabinet.

Paul believes he has caught a theif.  Billy confides in Paul that on the day Bernie started working for him someone stole his diary that has all the details of funeral etc and a spate of burglaries followed.  Suspicious, Paul and Gemma are horrified to find a bag of stolen goods under the stairs at number 5 Coronation Street.

Meanwhile, James is fearful that his secret will come out.  When Michael reveals that James did not come back home last night, Edison assumes he spent the night with Bethany.  Aggie and Michael exchange an awkward look.  A hungover James confides in Michael that he spent the night with a guy called Dan and he’s lost his phone.  James enlists Michael’s help insisting they set off in search of the missing phone.

Elsewhere, David and Shona tell Max and Lily their plans to adopt them formally.  When Max’s only concern is that he’ll still be able to see Marion, David is put out.

A break-in, ironically, finally breaks Daniel.  As the wake continues in The Rovers, Daniel lets himself into the flat and is shocked to find it trashed.  He calls Peter who asks Carla to take him to Ken’s whilst he calls the police.  Peter tells Carla that the thief took the laptop with Sinead’s videos on.

Robert tries to sort his mess out.  Vicky flies at Robert for leading a double life and letting her think he’d split up from Michelle.  Tyler sees red and throws a punch at Robert.  Vicky is devastated and angrily orders him to leave. 

Meanwhile, Paul finds a way to find love again.  Paul confides in David that he was responsible for getting Josh to change his statement after Billy told him about the rape.  When David describes what he went through and how he eventually dealt with his ordeal, it strikes a powerful chord with Paul.  Billy returns home to find Paul has laid the table for a romantic meal.  Paul assures Billy he wants him in his life and intends to make him proud.  

Elsewhere, at Sinead Osbourne's wake, Sally dupes Tim into thinking she’s terribly religious and urges him to pray with her.
