Daniel makes a horrifying discovery about Peter. A shocked Daniel finds Peter in Victoria Gardens leaning against a wall clutching his stomach and vomiting, Daniel is horrified to see that his clothes are covered in blood. As Peter slumps to the ground, a panicky Daniel calls for an ambulance. In the local medical facility, the doctor assures Peter they will do their best to stop the bleeding but there is a possibility he is suffering from liver failure causing Daniel to be shocked. Peter makes Daniel promise not to tell anyone what is going on as he couldn't bear for Ken or Simon to see him in such a state. Toyah embraces life as a foster mother. On the street, Toyah and Imran fuss over Mason. As Toyah bends over the pram to give him a kiss, neither of them notices a grief-stricken Leanne watching from the window of her flat. But how will Toyah react when Imran gets a call from Social Services informing him that they'll be collecting Mason later today? Sarah wrestles with the truth. Adam visits number 8 Coronation Street and reveals to a shocked Sarah that he knows she tipped the police off about the body in the woods. All David wants for Christmas is Shona. As Max and Lily excitedly rip open their Christmas presents, Shona gives David a six foot cuddly rabbit to replace Barney, his childhood pet. David loves it. Whilst the nurse sees to Lily, Shona calms her down and makes her giggle as David watches with a heavy heart realising how much the kids will miss her. Gary denies any wrongdoing and assures the officer that he knows nothing about Rick's disappearance. Sarah confides in Daniel that rumour has it that Gary murdered Rick. Leanne tries to play happy families. As an excited Nick heads out to pick up Sam for a visit, Leanne does her best to remain upbeat. Nick and Sam return to the flat to find that Leanne has cooked them Christmas dinner, decorated a tree and wrapped Sam's presents. Nick is touched by her kindness. Over their meal, Nick assures Sam that he will visit him in London as often as he can and they'll do the museums together. After popping out, Leanne returns home but when she spots Sam playing with Oliver's musical box, she freaks out causing Sam to feel guilty. David and Shona prepare for a life apart. In The Rovers, David confides in Daisy that he and Shona are breaking up. Daisy is secretly pleased.
