Leanne makes one final stand. It is Steve and Leanne's turn in court. Leanne gives evidence and tells the court how Oliver reacts to certain stimuli. When the Trust barrister suggests his reactions are involuntary, Leanne is forced to admit that it’s possible. Leanne tells the court all she wants is to save her son. Meanwhile, Carla returns to chaos. Peter and Carla arrive back from their sailing holiday and quiz Johnny about the robbery and his old mate Scott. Johnny masks his discomfort. The factory girls gossip about Adam’s designs on Alina. Sarah catches Adam chatting up Alina outside the factory and launches a tirade of abuse at him. As Carla approaches with a new client, they find Sarah screeching like a fishwife. Elsewhere, Paul backs down. As a hungover Paul searches the jobs pages, Billy implores him not to let Todd get to him. Having taken a call from the bishop, a relieved Billy tells Paul that despite his drunken antics, the Archdeacon position is still his. Paul is pleased for him and asserts that he is going back to work and is determined not to let Todd get under his skin. | Steve and Leanne have done all they can. Nick arrives at Oliver's bedside at the local medical facility. Toyah reminds him that Leanne has banned him from visiting but seeing how upset he is, relents and allows him to stay. Steve urges the Judge to give Oliver more time as one day they might find a cure. The hearing over, an emotionally drained Steve and Leanne head out. Leanne arrives to spend as much time with Oliver as she can and is furious to find Nick there. Meanwhile, Carla unleashes her furious wrath at Adam. Carla warns Alina to steer clear of Adam as he is only using her to get at Sarah. When Adam suggests dinner, will Alina accept? Elsewhere, when a reporter from Weatherfield Gazette approaches Emma and Amy hoping for a scoop on Oliver's story, Fiz wades in and sends him packing. |
