On the day of the auction Chas initially refuses to go. Soon Charity hits a nerve which emboldens Chas to attend, leaving Paddy happy she is not going down without a fight. At The Auction House there is tension from the Emmerdale Villagers as the auctioneer prepares to start. Just as the auctioneer is ready to sell The Woolpack, Cain shoots his hand up and bids. Moira is relieved when Cain is outbid by an online bidder. Later, Marlon and Chas are interested to know who the new owner is. Faith fails to get the name of the new owner from the auctioneer but is informed they would like to meet Marlon and Chas in person. Chas is fearful about finding out who the mystery buyer is.
The next day, Marcus shows up to meet Rhona and Vanessa once again impersonates her, hoping to head him off. As Vanessa tries to explain she made a mistake getting in touch, Rhona arrives and is floored to see Marcus.
Kim apologises for missing Dawn's hen party. She then heads off to the auction, dressed to the nines. Later, Kim is on the phone with a smug look on her face.
Jai shoves the paperwork for the loan he took out in Laurel's name into a folder as Laurel arrives. Jai rushes out to meet a PR consultant but accidentally leaves the folder behind.
