BEN & CALLUM FANS ELATED AS HALFWAY RESCUED

Since St. Valentine's Day (2020), Callum "Halfway" Highway (Tony Clay) has disappeared from the Walford area as he was abducted by Keanu Taylor (Danny Walters) in a revenge attack for Ben Mitchell (Max Bowden) putting a hit on Karen's eldsest at Christmas time. A hit Ben employed Martin Fowler (James Bye) to execute but Martin's conscience got the better of him and Keanu's murder was staged.

Earlier this month, Keanu returned to Albert Square set on retribution for not only his attempted murder but the fact Ben took away Keanu's right to ever see any of his children grow up.

In tonight's (Thursday 27 February 2020) episdoe, Ben was assisted by Jay Brown (Jamie Borthwick) and his boyfriend's brother, Stuart Highway (Ricky Champ) as the trio scavenged the derelict warehouse for their fallen loved one.

Jay immediately called an ambulance.

Fans of the show will see Callum recouperate in subsequent episodes as he and Ben adjust to their new lifestyles.

PROTECTIVE VANITY FANS BRAND EMMERDALE AS "GONE TOO FAR" IN LATEST STORYLINE

In tonight's Emmerdale (Monday 17 February 2020) it was revealed Vanessa Woodfield (Michelle Hardwick) has been diagnosed with Bowel Cancer.

Emmerdale representatives have confirmed to AndyGibsonTV.com that this storyline will be played-out in the coming months as the veterinarian comes to terms with her illness.

Bowel Cancer UK have pridefully worked close with Michelle Hardwick and the production team at Emmerdale.

Genevieve Edwards, Chief Executive at Bowel Cancer UK, says:

“We greatly appreciated the opportunity to work with the Emmerdale team on this important storyline. While everyone’s experience of diagnosis is different, it is vital that Vanessa’s story is as accurate as possible.”

Genevieve, added:

“Although bowel cancer is more common in the over 50s, it can affect people of all ages. More than 2,500 people under 50, like Vanessa, are diagnosed with the disease in the UK every year. This storyline will help to raise awareness of bowel cancer, and we hope it encourages viewers to recognise the symptoms and visit their GP if they’re concerned.”

Michelle Hardwick told AndyGibsonTV.com:

“This is such a challenging storyline, but we’ve been working closely with Bowel Cancer UK, who have been enormously helpful to me in researching Vanessa's symptoms and treatment. I hope to do Vanessa’s story justice. I was actually really shocked to learn that bowel cancer is the fourth most common cancer in the UK and the second biggest cancer killer, but diagnosed early is treatable."

ANTHONY QUINLAN BOWS OUT OF EMMERDALE AFTER 7 YEARS

Anthony Quinlan has left Emmerdale after nearly seven years in the ITV Yorkshire Serial Drama.

With 716 episodes under his belt as the lovable rogue, Peter "Pete" Barton, he was involved in some of the programme's most talked-about storylines from Pete's marriage to Debbie Dingle (Charley Webb) to the mystery involving Ross Barton (Michael Parr) where viewers were left wondering if he killed him which is ironic because Ross is his only living close family member as both his parents are dead as is his younger brother, Finlay "Finn" Barton (Joe Gill).

In tonight's episode (Monday 10 February 2020), ITV/STV/UTV aired the denouement of Anthony Quinlan.

Surprisingly, those who he had his more serious relationships with failed to show up to wave him off.

As previously mentioned, he married Debbie Dingle.

Pete has a relationship with Rhona Goskirk (Zoe Henry) and was serious about their relationship he even took to learning Makaton (a form of Sign Language) to communicate with her son, the adorable Leo Goskirk (Harvey Rogerson), who has Downs Syndrome.

Although Pete hasn't been killed-off, the door is very much open for his return in the distant future but this is far too early in the day to determine if he will come back.

Fans of the show took to Twitter to express their views on Pete's departure. Some felt his exit wasn't up to standard, others had different views.

EMMERDALE STAFF AND VIEWERS REMEMBER FREDDIE JONES

In July 2019 British Drama suffered a tremendous loss as Freddie Jones passed away at the age of 91.

The nonagenarian spent the latter years of his career as Sandy Thomas in the ITV/STV/UTV soap, Emmerdale.

Sandy Thomas was the father-in-law of current Emmerdale character, Laurel Thomas (Charlotte Bellamy) and the grandfather of Gabby Thomas (Rosie Bentham), Arthur Thomas (Alfie Clarke) and Dorothy "Dotty" Thomas (Tilly-Rue Foster/Ellerie Carroll).

The actor who played Sandy, Freddie Jones, was a highly popular member of the Emmerdale workforce.

In 2018, Mark Charnock (who plays Marlon Dingle) described working with him as "wonderful in every conceivable way".

Speaking exclusively to AndyGibsonTV.com, Duncan Foster (drama director), said:

"Freddie was a lovely man. He always felt lucky to still be involved. We all miss him very much."

Mr. Jones also appeared in other British dramas such as; The Bill, Z-Cars and Heartbeat.

Viewers took to Twitter expressing their love for Sandy Thomas and Freddie Jones.
