Viewers will see Yasmeen defend herself against Geoff in powerful scenes this week but what happens next is just as exciting. Following a rushed exit from The Rovers by Yasmeen Metcalfe (Shelley King) and Geoff Metcalfe (Ian Bartholomew), Peter Barlow (Chris Gascoyne), Carla Connor (Alison King), Brian Packham (Peter Gunn), Cathy Matthews (Melanie Hill) have a gossip about them completely unknown what is happening down the street. With Geoff lying on the floor, Yasmeen picks up the telephone and calls 9-9-9 telling the Police representative she has killed her husband. Soon, Peter, Brian & Cathy leave The Rovers just in time to see an Ambulance being accompanied by two police vehicles arrive at number 6 Coronation Street, which we know is Yasmeen & Geoff's house. Tim Metcalfe (Joe Duttine) spots the commotion and quickly sprints towards his dad's home but a police officer stops him from entering. In the police station, Yasmeen has summoned Imran Habeeb (Charlie De Melo) to represent her during interviews. Back at the cobbles, police are doing their rounds questioning Yasmeen & Geoff's neighbours on their relationship as a married couple. Later in the week, Alya Nazir (Sair Khan) returns from Spain and wastes no time in going to the police station where they're holding her grandmother. Trying to do things right for her grandma, Alya explains to Sally Metcalfe (Sally Dynevor) that Yasmeen has never had a problem with alcoholism and that Geoff has been controlling her for months. Eventually, Coronation Street viewers will see Yasmeen be charged - but what for? Murder? Coronation Street continues on ITV/STV.
Last Tuesday in EastEnders, viewers saw Whitney Dean (Shona McGarty) be clutched at knife-point by evil Leo's mum, Michaela Turnbull (Fiona Allen) after the latter was arrested for trying to pervert the course of justice in Whitney's case of murder. In tonight's episode (Monday 27 April 2020), fans of the BBC One Serial Drama saw Whitney's family wonder where she is after Sonia Fowler (Natalie Cassidy) made the discovery that her niece wasn't in her bedroom. During an incident in the kitchen, Jean Slater (Gillian Wright) broke a dish and wanted to be the one to tidy the mess away. It was when she put the broken remains of the plate in the bucket was a note from Whitney explaining she's runaway from Walford. With the note being in the bin, it was obvious Whitney had thought of running away but decided against it by putting the letter in the bucket. Jean told of the contents of Whitney's note explaining of her vanishing leaving her family to wonder where she had runaway to. It's never that simple in Walford as the viewing audience discovered at the closing moments of tonight's episode. Whitney was seen banging a door of a bedsit where she has been locked up by Michaela in an attempt to stop Whitney from appearing in court. If Whitney no shows in the dock, it is more than probable she'll be imprisoned indefinitely - as alluded to by her solicitor, Gray Atkins (Toby-Alexander Smith) earlier in this evening's episode. Will Whitney manage to escape her captor or will she be left to die in the grotty bedsit?
EastEnders continues on BBC One. Last week in Emmerdale, viewers saw Ted (Matt Lanigan) and Carol (Susan Mitchell) visit Woodbine Cottage to check-in on Lucas' progress since moving back with his mother, Dawn, however Lucas seems to be favouring his foster parents over Dawn and William "Will" Taylor (Dean Andrews) decided it would be best if he interjected himself into the situation. After Carol & Ted's appointment with Dawn & Lucas, they treated themselves to a spot of pub grub at The Woolpack - it was all going beautifully until Will showed up. He appeared to be polite at first but things soon turned sour when Will suggested they kept their distance to not confuse Lucas Taylor (Dexter Ansell). In tonight's episode, Ted & Carol were back and this time bringing Eloise (Katrina Bryan) in tow. It wasn't long before Dawn learnt of Will's interferance and things soon turned messy. Will more-or-less immediately pleaded his innocence and tried make it out like Carol & Ted wantred to take Lucas back with them following it up with suggesting they made it out like he is an unfit Grandparent. Eventually, the inevetable happened - Reverend Harriet Finch (Katherine Dow Blyton) got involved - and trying to defuse the situation she was forced to step-in.
Once again, Will claimed Carol & Ted are only trying to scupper Dawn's chances but Harriet, herself, disagreed and told him he's got it all wrong. Will was told to leave with Billy Fletcher (Jay Kontzle) who was given the task in calming him down while Dawn & Harriet picked up the pieces. Relying on her police background, Harriet soon managed to calm the situation down. Only issue is, will Will back off or make things worse? Emmerdale continues on ITV/STV. Charlie Fairhead (Derek Thompson) resurfaced in tonight's episode of Casualty (Saturday 25 April 2020) and it's safe to say he is a bit worse for wear.
Since abruptly quitting his life-long job in Holby City's Emergency Department following the death of his wife, Lisa 'Duffy' Fairhead, Charlie has not been seen. Connie Beauchamp (Amanda Mealing) and Jacob Masters (Charles Venn) were first outside to meet Charlie from the Ambulance after being rescued by Fenisha Khatri (Olivia D'Lima) and Lev Malinovsky (Uriel Emil). It was immediately obvious to viewers Charlie is on a downward spiral. Throughout the episode, Connie was seen at Charlie's bedside and she pleaded with her staff to keep Charlie's incident quiet to not damage the Emergency Department's reputation and to maintain Charlie Fairhead's respect within the Holby City medical facility. All Charlie wants is Lisa and that is figuratively crushing his morale. During Charlie's admission, Connie asked him about being at home and it wasn't long before it was alluded to that Charlie has been avoiding his house at all costs. It was soon revealed that Charlie has developed depression. Can Charlie Fairhead come back from the brink and be the face of Holby City again? Casualty continues on BBC One. Fenisha has been fairly happy-go-lucky since her arrival in Holby City's medical facility. Not to call Fenisha anything derogatory, she has in fact slept with both Dr. Ethan Hardy (George Rainsford) and Dr. William "Will" Noble (Jack Nolan) in recent weeks. In tonight's Casualty (Saturday 25 April 2020) viewers saw Fenisha ask Jan Jenning (Di Botcher) advice on how to go about requesting holiday leave but her plans were soon cut short.
Three positive pregnancy tests later, it was confirmed Fenisha is in fact pregnant. Lev Malinovsky (Uriel Emil) and Fenisha went to a house they were called to earlier where they discovered someone in a locked garage. Lev muscled the door open but it slipped, jammed Fenisha between the mechanics and a wall. Back in the Holby City medical facility, Will evaluated Fenisha and suspected she might have a dislocated shoulder. He suggested she go for an x-ray and she refused. It wasn't long before Fenisha revealed to a stunned Will about her pregnancy. Will was confused as they always used condoms but Fenisha told him straight that he wasn't the father which only sparks a number of questions for viewers and Fenisha alike. Casualty continues on BBC One. EastEnders has ended for another week as the BBC are rationing episodes due to the CoronaVirus Pandemic. However it will return next week with two amazing editions.
