Gabby Thomas (Rosie Bentham) eventually turned up back at Emmerdale Village after a rather heavy night in town getting drunk to forget what a lonley time her life has become since Bernice Blackstock's departure in November of 2019.
Initially, Laurel Thomas (Charlotte Bellamy) and Jai Sharma (Christopher Bisson) railed at Gabby for being out all night but Gabby was quick to remind them that she was an adult.
As Jai was giving her a pep talk, Gabby became rebellious and told him in not so many words that he is a terrible person and that the only reason he got custody of Archie was because Rachel (Archie's mother) is dead.
Laurel warned Gabby to apologise at once but Gabby point blank refused and stormed out of the house. Across the village, Leyla Harding (Rokhsaneh Ghawam-Shahidi) left Take A Vow with Andrea Tate (Anna Nighingale) discussing how much of a "douchebag" Jamie Tate (Alexander Lincoln) is, Andrea went away leaving Leyla alone until Gabby turned up.
Leyla wanted to do right by Gabby and offered the troubled teen a cup of tea over at her place. Gabby was delighted at first because somebody was taking an interest in her. Gabby went to Leyla's then Dr. Liam Cavanagh (Jonny McPherson) arrived wanting to take Leyla out of the afternoon. Leyla declined because she had just made plans with Gabby but after some sweet-talking by Liam, Leyla's arm was figuratively twisted and she decided to call Gabby off.
Listening in from the doorway, Gabby heard everything and once again she was left feeling "in the way" then wandered off because she was a "massive inconvenience". Realising Gabby needs a bit of support, Leyla went after her and more or less apologised for bailing on her. Leyla soon informed Liam that she would be spending the day with Gabby instead. Is there any saving Gabby Thomas? Emmerdale continues tomorrow at 19:00 on ITV/STV.
