PADDY TURNS A CORNER WITH HIS ANXIETIES? | EMMERDALE SPOILERS

It's been a number of weeks since Marlon Dingle (Mark Charnock) was rushed into a local medical faciliy by his best friend, Paddy Kirk (Dominic Brunt), because of a suspected Heart Attack.

This followed Marlon's wrongful incarceration for murdering Graham Foster (Andrew Scarborough).

Paddy is known for getting flustered and during those difficult times, getting flustered was bound to happen.  In the rush, Paddy completely forgot about his daughter, Eve Dingle (​Bonnie Clement/Billy Clement), who was still in the back of his vehicle. 

Eventually coming to his senses, Paddy grimly remembered he still had Eve with him in the car.  Leaving Marlon with a medical team for evaluation, Paddy rushed outside to the car park to discover Eve not being there.  Thankfully at this time, a police officer was summoned and managed to rescue the baby girl before any harm came to her. 

Since then, Paddy has not let Eve out of his sight.  Clutching her at every given moment in desperation to never lose her again.  Simply wanting to be left alone, Eve pretty much cries whenever Paddy touches her but as soon as she's in mum's hands - Chas Dingle (Lucy Pargeter) - the crying almost immediately stops leaving Paddy's anxiety to heighten. 

During tonight's episode - Monday 04 May 2020 - not only did viewers see Paddy lash out at Eve, but Chas walked in on the incident, too.

"You're ruining my life.  I hate you" uttered Paddy towards a helpless Eve just as Chas walked in.

After Paddy had calmed down, he told Chas that "you should hate me" but Chas tried to support Paddy much to his surprise. 

Paddy and Chas had a lovely conversation about how both of them struggle with Eve.

Chas eventually made Paddy make a promise to her.  If he ever felt like he did again then he discuss it with her.

Can Paddy be helped by Chas through his problems?

Only time will tell.
