DORSET: TEENAGER ARRESTED FOLLOWING VEHICLE BREAK-INS IN SHERBORNE | INFORMING BRITAIN ON CRIME

Dorset Police have arrested a 14-year-old boy from Sherborne on suspicion of Criminal Damage after reports of aggressive behaviour and break-ins to parked vehicles.

The disturbances took place at around 23:15 on Wednesday 31 December 2025, in the Littlefield area of Sherborne, with several cars sustaining damage.

The suspect remains in custody as enquiries continue.

Authorities are appealing for witnesses, potential victims, or anyone with relevant information, including doorbell camera recordings, to come forward.

Police Scotland are seeking public assistance following an attempted housebreaking at a residence on Pillans Avenue, Carluke, in the early hours of Tuesday 07 October 2025.

The incident occurred at approximately 02:00 when four males, all dressed in black clothing, were observed leaving the garden of the targeted property in South Lanarkshire.

While the suspects did not gain entry, they caused damage to the premises.

No items were reported stolen.

Sergeant Stewart McDonald of Police Scotland, stated:

"Although entry was not gained, damage was caused to the property, and we are working to trace those responsible.  We encourage anyone who noticed anything suspicious, including any vehicles in the area, to come forward.  Additionally, we urge residents with private CCTV or dash-cam footage to review it, as it could provide vital information for our investigation."

LINCOLNSHIRE: HAYSTACK FIRE CAUSES £30K OF DAMAGE, APPEAL FOR WITNESSES

Humberside Police are appealing for witnesses, and information, after £30,000 worth of damage was caused to a farmer's stock when a large haystack was set alight on Carr Lane in Broughton, North Lincolnshire.

Officers received a call at 20:30 on Tuesday 30 August 2022 after the Fire Service attended to a large fire between Brigg and Broughton.

Detective Constable Scott McCreight is investigating the incident.

DC McCreight, said:

"This was a very large fire which was spreading at an alarming rate following the recent extensive dry weather we have had.  £30,000 worth of damage was caused and we believe this fire to have been started deliberately."

DC McCreight is appealing for the public's assistance, and added:

"I would appeal for anyone who may have been in the area at the time, has dashcam footage or any information that would help with our enquiries.  If you can help with our investigation, please call us on our non-emergency number 101 quoting log 545 of 30 August 2022."

Police are investigating Criminal Damage to a glass panel of a door at Nisa Local on Oxford Street, Barrow.

The incident occurred at 23:40 on Friday 5 August 2022 in which an item was thrown at the door.

The suspect, a male, is described as having the following characteristics and attributes:

  • White male
  • Aged in his mid 30's
  • 6 foot in height
  • Medium build
  • Short dark hair
  • Wearing a white short sleeve t-shirt with dark logo on the chest
  • Wearing jeans

Police are looking for anyone who witnessed the incident and can identify the suspect.

Police Officers in Cumbria are currently investigating an incident where graffiti has been sprayed on properties in the area of Lound Round and Parkside Road, Kendal. 
 
Offenders have used black spray paint to cause damage to walls and a gate.

Avon & Somerset Police are appealing for information after an act of criminal damage at a residential complex in Weston-Super-Mare.

A verbal altercation between two people occurred at an address in Alexandra Parade at approximately 03:45 on Saturday 12 June 2021.

An unknown male then forced open a locked door causing damage in the process.

Officers in Weston-Super-Mare are asking the public to help them identify the man, pictured, who they wish to talk to in connection with their enquiries.

He is described as white, about 25-35 years of age, of average build and had dark hair.
