Authorities are appealing for public assistance following a robbery at a shop in the Lomondgate Services area of Dumbarton on Thursday 09 October 2025, at approximately 00:55.

According to Police Scotland, a male suspect entered the premises, threatened a staff member, and demanded money from the till.

The suspect fled the scene in the direction of Bellsmyre.

​No injuries were reported.

The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 5 feet 9 inches tall, of medium build.

​He was wearing a black football top with orange stripes on one sleeve and green stripes on the other, black jogging trousers, a grey beanie hat, and a black snood or face covering.

​The public is encouraged to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 0100 of 09 October 2025, with any information.

NEWCASTLE: IMAGES ISSUED IN PURSUIT OF ONE STOP SHOP ROBBERY SUSPECT | INFORMING BRITAIN ON CRIME

Investigators examining a theft in Newcastle have disseminated photographs of an individual they seek to locate.

At approximately 11:55 on Wednesday 16 July 2025, reports indicated that a male had accessed the One Stop convenience store situated on Union Hall Road in Lemington.

He confronted an employee within the premises and issued verbal intimidations whilst armed with an implement presumed to be a machete.

The perpetrator subsequently pursued the employee from the establishment, prior to appropriating multiple scratch cards and departing the vicinity.

No physical harm was sustained; nevertheless, the male employee was left distressed by the ordeal.

Numerous investigative actions have been pursued since the initial notification, encompassing a recent examination of CCTV recordings.

In furtherance of the continuing probe, investigating officers, today (Friday), have publicised images of a male they wish to identify.

He is thought to have been present in the locality during the commission of the offence and may possess details beneficial to the authorities.

The individual depicted, or any person aware of his identity, is requested to transmit a direct communication to Northumbria Police.

Officers from Police Scotland are appealing for information following a robbery in Inverness on Saturday 08 June 2024 where a man was threatened with a knife.

At approximately 12:30, a 41-year-old man was in the Old School Place area of Inverness, when a man approached with a knife and demanded money from him.

The man was not injured in the incident, but has been left badly shaken.

The suspect is described as:
  • White
  • Approximately 6 foot tall
  • Slim build
  • Aged between 20 to 30

He was wearing a grey hooded jacket with the hood pulled up.

The suspect ran off in the direction of Rosehaugh Road.

Officers are gathering any relevant CCTV footage for additional information on the suspect.

Detective Constable Pam Dugdale, said:

"I am appealing to anyone who was in the area around the time of the incident to contact us with any information they have, even if they think it’s not relevant, please do pass it on.  I would also ask motorists to check any dash cam equipment for any images which could assist the ongoing inquiry."

19-YEAR-OLD FEMALE CHARGED WITH ALLEGED TRANSPHOBIC ATTEMPTED MURDER IN HARROW | INFORMING BRITAIN

Detectives investigating an alleged transphobic assault in Harrow have charged four people in connection with this incident.

According to a Metropolitan Police spokesperson, Summer Betts-Ramsey, 19, was arrested on Sunday 11 February 2024 and charged with attempted murder and possession of an offensive weapon. 

Summer Betts-Ramsey will appear at the Old Bailey and this has been scheduled for Tuesday 12 March 2024.

The other members of this quartet cannot be named for legal reasons, as they are under the age of 18, and have been referred to as B, C, and D. 

A 16-year-old girl [B] was arrested on Wednesday 28 February 2024 and charged with grievous bodily harm with intent, robbery and drug possession (cannabis).  She will also appear at the Old Bailey, tomorrow.

Just over a week later, on Thursday 7 March 2024, a 17-year-old male [C] was charged with grievous bodily harm with intent, disclosing sexual images and threatening the victim with a knife in a private place.

The following day, a second 17-year-old boy [D] was charged on Friday 8 March 2024.  The charge given was grievous bodily harm with intent.

Both males have been remanded and will appear at the Old Bailey on Friday 5 April 2024.

The charges relate to a serious assault on Greater London's Masons Avenue in the HA3 area which left an 18-year-old girl with stab wounds.

She has since been discharged from a local medical facility.

BATH: CCTV IMAGES RELEASED FOLLOWING ROBBERY OF 12-YEAR-OLD BOY

Avon & Somerset Officers investigating the robbery of a 12-year-old boy, including the assault of another, are keen to identify and speak to three boys about the incidents.

One victim was punched while the other had his iPhone X taken from him on George Street, Bath, on Saturday 23 April 2022.

Investigating officer PC Toby Hales, said:

"We’ve recovered CCTV of three boys we want to talk to about the incidents and have been carrying out enquiries to identify them.  We’ve been keen to complete these enquiries before releasing images from the CCTV publicly as we're conscious of the young age of those in them.  However, we're now at a point in our inquiry where we need the public’s help.  If you know any of the boys pictured, please get in touch."

Appeal after car stolen in Gateshead robbery.

Northumbria Police Officers investigating a robbery in Gateshead are appealing to the public for information.

At approximately 20:00 yesterday, Tuesday 30 August 2022, a man has approached a woman as she sat in her grey Volkswagen Golf on Gibside Way, Metro Centre, and threatened her causing her to flee the vehicle.

The man has then made off in the motor towards Lemington.

While the victim was not physically injured, she was left incredibly distressed by the incident.

An investigation has been launched and officers have already carried out a number of enquiries, including a review of CCTV and speaking with witnesses.

Today, Northumbria Police have issued a description of their suspect, and have asked anyone who might have seen him, the vehicle or anything suspicious, to get in touch.

The offender is described as having the following characteristics and attributes:

  • Around 6 foot in height
  • Slim build
  • Wearing a grey zip hoodie

APPEAL FOR WITNESSES TO VIOLENT ROBBERY IN ASHTON-UNDER-LYNE

Officers in Greater Manchester are appealing for information following a violent knifepoint robbery in Ashton-under-Lyne.

At approximately 20:00 on Wednesday 17 March 2021, police were called to reports of a robbery on Rowley Street.

A 27-year-old man and a 20-year-old female were parked up in a blue Audi A1 with a silver roof (Index: GN64 YCA) waiting for a takeaway when they were approached by two males in balaclavas armed with large machetes and baseball bats.

The male victim was hit with a machete and dragged out of the car, and the second victim was ordered out at knifepoint.

The offenders then stole the vehicle and drove off towards Smallshaw Lane. 

The victims suffered minor injuries and were left shaken by the incident

The first offender is described as being of mixed raced, wearing a balaclava and dressed in all black.

The second man is described as white with fair skin, aged in his mid-20s and dressed in all black with a black face covering.

PC Rick Beswick, from Greater Manchester Police's Volume Crime Team, said:

"This was a violent unprovoked incident that has left two victims feeling understandably frightened and distressed.  I would like to reassure the public that we are treating this incident seriously and are following every line of enquiry available to us."

PC Beswick, concluded:

“This robbery happened in a busy area and I am hopeful that there may be some witnesses who were in the area around this time.  If you saw anything suspicious or have any information that could help with our investigation, please contact police as soon as possible.”
