Avon & Somerset Police are, today, issuing a Convenience Store's CCTV image of a potential witness investigating officers would like to trace as part of their ongoing investigation into the death of 19-year-old Bristolian, Eddie King Muthemba Kinuthia.

Detective Chief Inspector Mark Almond is leading the Major Crime Investigation Team (MCIT) enquiry.

DCI Almond, said:

"We have a dedicated team who are working incredibly hard to identify and speak to anyone who was in the busy Grosvenor Road area of St Paul's on the night Eddie was attacked, Friday 21 July 2023.  If you were there – even if you don't think you can tell us anything new – please come forward and speak to us.  We really need to speak to everyone who was there, to make those checks to ensure we don't miss any information which could help to get justice for Eddie."

DCI Almond, concludes:

"I know that it’s hard for people to talk about what happened to Eddie, but our team of investigators can access help and support for people who have witnessed such awful incidents, alongside our victim and witness care teams."

​Avon & Somerset Police are keen to speak with anybody including someone seen in CCTV footage and officers have released an image of the gentleman in hope he comes forward or if anybody who knows him can provide investigators details on where they can find him.

Avon & Somerset Police are only treating this person as an important witness and is not believed to be the suspect in Mr. Kinuthia's murder.

One potential witness officers are keen to trace.

He is described as in his forties, about 5 foot 8 inches tall and white, with dark hair and a distinctive hairline.

He is wearing grey or blue jogging bottoms and grey trainers with a lighter sole.

He is also wearing a distinctive lighter-coloured T-shirt with a striking logo which is being described by an Avon & Somerset Police spokesperson as a circle of orange or red lettering containing a blue and orange/red peak shape and a small blue circle.

Avon & Somerset Police would like him – or anyone who knows him – to get in touch with MCIT investigators by calling 01278 647777, or by ringing 101 quoting Operation Barclay.

The independent charity CrimeStoppers have, generously, offered a reward of up to £20,000 for information given through their anonymous reporting system which leads to a conviction.

AVON AND SOMERSET POLICE SEEK DASHCAM FOOTAGE TO ASSIST INVESTIGATIONS AFTER DEATHS ON FROME A361 ROAD | INFORMING BRITAIN

Two women have died in a three-vehicle collision on the A361 near Frome yesterday afternoon (Thursday 30 May 2024).

Emergency Services - including a Wiltshire Air Ambulance - were called to Marston Road at approximately 15:10 after a collision involving a silver Ford, black Land Rover and a lorry.

​The driver and passenger of the Ford were both pronounced deceased at the scene.

The women's next of kin have been informed and Avon & Somerset Police have provided them with a specially-trained Family Liaison Officer who is giving much-needed support at this time.

One occupant of the Land Rover was taken to a nearby local medical facility but their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

The A361 was closed until around about the time of 00:05 while collision investigation work was carried out and the road cleared.

UPDATE:  Northumbria Police have confirmed with Informing Britain that the man has been identified.  In accordance with legal issues, his image has been removed from this article. 

Police Officers from the Northumbria force who are investigating an assault in South Tyneside have released an image of a man they want to identify.

At around 10:00 on Wednesday 3 April 2024, Officers from the South Tyneside Division received a report of an assault at South Shields Interchange on Keppel Street.

It was reported that a male approached a member of staff and became aggressive before spitting at him several times.
Enquiries are ongoing into the circumstances surrounding the incident, and police have today (Wednesday 29 May 2024) released the image of a man who they would like to trace.

He was in the area at the time of the incident and officers believe he could have valuable information that may assist the ongoing investigation.

The man, or anyone who recognises him, is asked to contact Northumbria Police by calling 101, quoting Crime Reference Number: 038080J/24.

A spokesperson for the force said they were "pleased" with the outcome however declined to thank the public or members of the media for their assistance.

Officers, in Northumbria, are appealing for information from the public to locate a Newcastle man who is missing.
Thomas Reay - who is aged 66 - was last seen in the Silver Lonnen area of Newcastle at approximately 07:00 this morning (Wednesday 29 May 2024).

Investigating officers, including Mr. Reay's family, are growing increasingly concerned for his welfare.

Police are asking for anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Thomas to contact them.

Thomas is described as 5 foot 4 inches in height, and was last seen wearing a black jacket, blue shirt, shorts and black shoes.

It is believed he travelled towards the West Allotment Country Park area in North Tyneside.

Anyone with information on where Thomas might be should call Northumbria Police on 101, quoting Log Number NP-20240529-0354.

Metropolitan ​Police are concerned for the welfare of a woman who has been missing from her home in Hayes for 10 days.

Fatima Maria Menezes Nunes, 57, is believed to have left her home address in Hayes between 06:30 and 09:30 on Friday 10 May 2024.

She was reported missing on Monday, 13 May and police have since then carried out a wealth of checks to locate her, including a recent Social Media appeal.

Fatima is vulnerable and her family, and police, are very concerned for her welfare.

She's known to frequent Brixton, The Oval, Clapham, and Harlesden.

Fatima also likes to visit Portuguese shops and restaurants.

Fatima requires medication for a number of ailments.

She walks with a limp.

POLICE CONFIRM "SIGNIFICANT DEVELOPMENT" FOLLOWING ARREST ISSUED IN BURNT OAK BROADWAY MURDER INVESTIGATION | INFORMING BRITAIN

A spokesperson from Metropolitan Police has confirmed detectives investigating the murder of a woman in Edgware, earlier this morning, have made an arrest.

A 22-year-old male was arrested in the Colindale area during this afternoon - Thursday 09 May 2024 - on suspicion of murder.

He remains in custody at an undisclosed North London Police Station while being questioned.

Detective Superintendent Tony Bellis from the North West Command Unit, responsible for policing Edgware, said:

"This is a significant development in this investigation and comes as a result of fast-time work from specialist detectives working alongside local officers.  The investigation remains in its early stages, and we continue to work to establish why this incident took place, including whether the person responsible was known to the woman who died.  I would urge people to refrain from speculating about the circumstances while this work is ongoing."

Detective Superintendent Bellis, concludes:

"A family has been left devastated by this shocking attack and my thoughts are with them at this unimaginabley difficult time."

Police were called at approximately 11:50 on Thursday 09 May 2024 to reports of a stabbing in Burnt Oak Broadway, close to the junction of Limesdale Gardens.

Police Officers were assisted at the Burnt Oak Broadway incident by medical personnel from both London Ambulance Service and London's Air Ambulance.

A woman – believed aged in her 60s – was treated for wound injuries caused from being stabbed.

Despite the best efforts of all the Emergency Services, and specialist medical personnel from London Ambulance Service and London's Air Ambulance, the woman passed away at the scene.

Work continues to inform her next of kin.

A crime scene is currently in place at the location.

This murder investigation is currently ongoing - at its early stages - and being led by Homicide Detectives from the Metropolitan Police's Specialist Crime Command.

A Metropolitan Police spokesperson has confirmed that anybody with information which could assist police with this investigation is asked to phone Edgware Police on 101 and quote CAD3105/9MAY.

A murder investigation is under way after a woman died, in Edgware, after being stabbed.

Metropolitan Police were alerted at approximately 11:50 on Thursday 09 May 2024 to reports of a stabbing in Burnt Oak Broadway.

Police Officers were assisted at the scene by medical personnel from London Ambulance Service and London's Air Ambulance.

A woman – whose identity is unknown at this stage – was treated for stab injuries.

Despite the best efforts of all the Emergency Services, she died at the scene.

Enquiries are ongoing to identity and inform her next of kin.

A Crime Scene is currently in place at the location.

There have been no arrests at this early stage and enquiries into the circumstances continue.

Superintendent Tony Bellis, from the North West Command Unit, responsible for policing in Edgware, said:

"I understand the shock and concern this very sad incident will cause.  I want to reassure people it will be investigated by a specialist team of experienced homicide detectives, and we will support them in their work to identify and arrest whoever is responsible."

Detectives have released an E-FIT photograph of a person they want to speak to following a serious sexual offence that took place in Lambeth, seven years ago.

The incident happened around July 2017, in a communal lift, at a residential block.  The woman found the courage to report the incident to Metropolitan Police in October 2023 – she is being supported by specially trained officers as work continues to identify the man responsible.

Detective Constable Beth Cuttell-Bladen, from the policing team that covers Lambeth, said:

"Despite the time that has passed since the incident, the woman has been able to provide us with a detailed description of the man who attacked her in 2017.  I would ask people to look at the E-FIT and see if they recognise this person – please contact us if you can help."

DC Cuttell-Bladen, continues:

"No matter how long has elapsed since an incident like this, we will listen and support anyone who comes to us for help, and investigate where we can."

​A man has been charged with the murder of 14-year-old schoolboy Daniel Anjorin in Hainault, East London.

Marcus Aurelio Arduini Monzo, age 36 (born Monday 11 April 1988) will appear at Barkingside Magistrates Court, tomorrow, Thursday 2 May 2024.

Monzo is a dual Spanish Brazilian National who resides in the Newham/E16 area. 

In addition to the schoolboy's murder, a further four people – including two Police Officers – were seriously injured.

Monzo has been charged with two counts of Attempted Murder, two counts of Grievous Bodily Harm, Aggravated Burglary, and possession of a bladed article.

The families of all those affected have been informed.​

Detective Chief Inspector Larry Smith, who is the Senior Investigating Officer for this investigation, said:

"This is an incredibly tragic incident that has resulted in a young boy losing his life and his family devastated.  On behalf of the family, I would ask that their privacy is respected.  This is a complex investigation due to the number of crime scenes, forensic evidence, hours of CCTV footage and witnesses we need to speak to.  I know that many people will want answers and we are working to provide them as soon as we can.  I would also echo previous calls for patience as my officers carry out a painstaking investigation to deliver justice for Daniel, his family, those injured and the wider community."

DCI Smith, continues:

"We are starting to build a picture of what happened on Tuesday and I want to thank everyone who has come forward to share dashcam, doorbell and mobile phone footage with us.  Likewise, thank you to witnesses, who were no doubt terrified by what they saw, and who have made vital contributions to our investigation.  Anyone who has not yet spoken to police and has any information should contact us as soon as possible."

The schoolboy who was murdered in yesterday's Samurai Sword attack was, earlier, named by a Metropolitan Police spokesperson as Daniel Anjorin.

The Adjorin Family are currently being supported by specialist officers as detectives continue their investigation into yesterday's events at pace.

This was an incident that took place in a number of locations and Metropolitan Police are still working to confirm the full detail of events.

Metropolitan Police confirmed that a 33-year-old man was struck when Marcus Aurelio Arduini Monz crashed his van into the property in Laing Close.  He was then attacked by the suspect and suffered a wound to his neck.

A 35-year-old man suffered lacerations to his arm when he was attacked inside a nearby property.

The suspect then went on to attack Daniel Anjorin who died from his injuries sustained.

Officers arrived at the scene within 12 minutes of the first call.  They used their Pava Incapacitant Spray and Taser however these had limited impact.

Two officers were subsequently attacked by Marcus Aurelio Arduini Monzo, causing serious injuries.  They, too, will require long-term rehabilitation to assist them in their respective recovery process.

Metropolitan Police are continuing their investigation and still require witnesses to come forward.
