Police are seeking witnesses after a 19-year-old man sustained serious injuries in a hit-and-run collision in Port Glasgow.

The incident occurred around 01:00 on Sunday 02 November 2025, on Ardmore Road near Selkirk Road, where the man was struck by a vehicle that did not stop.

The car is described as a dark-coloured Vauxhall Insignia.

The injured man was transported by ambulance to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow, where his condition is described as critical.

Officers from the Road Policing Unit have indicated that the collision does not appear to have been targeted and that the man was walking home after an evening out in the area.

​They are urging the driver to come forward and are requesting dashcam footage from other vehicles or recordings from doorbell cameras in the residential area.

A 19-year-old man has died following a Road Accident in Cirencester, Gloucestershire Police have confirmed.

The incident occurred on Friday 17 October 2025, prompting an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash.

Emergency Services were called to the A429 (Bristol Road), near the Waitrose supermarket, at approximately 21:45 following a report of a collision involving the driver of a lorry and a man.


Officers are appealing for witnesses or anyone with Dash Cam footage, if you were travelling in the area, to assist with enquiries.

Gloucestershire Police have confirmed the Road Closures at the scene have been lifted.

The teenager who has died's family are aware and being supported by specially-trained officers.

Those with information are asked to contact Gloucestershire Police on 101, providing details that could aid the investigation.

The force has extended condolences to the victim's family during this difficult time.

Hazardous adverse weather conditions are being experienced in Cumbria, as Storm Arwen continues to bring high-winds, rain and snow fall.

Cumbria Police are urging the public to remain vigilant, and to only undertake vital travel as roads and streets are made dangerous by falling trees and damage to electrical pylons and telephone lines.

Thousands of homes are currently experiencing power outages due to damage to powerlines.  Electricity North West are working to bring power back to people's homes.

Cumbria Police report road closures, speed restrictions and urge for driving with caution.

The high winds have brought a number of trees down on roads and paths.

A6 closed north of Penrith following road traffic collision.

Emergency services are at the scene of a road traffic collision on the A6 north of Penrith, which involved a motorcycle and a tractor.
 
The collision occurred just south of Milestone House.
 
An ambulance crew is in attendance and treating the motorcyclist at the scene.
 
The road is expected to be closed for some time and Cumbria Police eople are asked to avoid the area.

If you witnessed the collision or the moments leading up to it, contact police referencing incident 115 of Friday 17 September 2021. 

Investigators are asking those who were travelling in the area around the time of the incided to view their Dash Cam Footage if motorists have cameras installed.

Police in Cumbria are appealing for witnesses following a collision on the A590, near the junction leading to Bridge End Garage and the A5074, today (Tuesday 3 August 2021).

The collision, reported at 12:08, involved a cyclist and a van.

The cyclist, a man in his 80s, from Lancashire, sadly passed away at the scene.

The driver of the van, a man in his 20s, from Barrow, was uninjured.

Investigating Officers are appealing for anyone with dashcam footage or who witnessed the incident to get in-touch.

Road closures have been in place and motorists have been asked to avoid the area if possible.

Anyone with information relating to this incident can report it via the Cumbrian Police website or by telephoning 101 quoting incident number 86 of Tueday 3 August 2021 .
