An individual recognised as among London's most prolific criminals has been incarcerated for offences of Rape and Sexual Assault after an enquiry directed by Metropolitan Police investigators.

Metropolitan Police's pioneering 'V100' initiative is revolutionising the approach to identifying and pursuing the most hazardous offenders perpetrating violence against women and girls.

The V100 programme employs data to pinpoint and address males presenting the greatest threat to females.

This facilitates the concentration of endeavours by local and specialised Metropolitan Police officers throughout London on mitigating the danger from the most threatening offenders and safeguarding potential victims from the profound harm inflicted.

Clinton Easy, 32 (born 10 September 1992), of Lutwyche Road, SE6, was sentenced to life imprisonment with a minimum term of 12 years on Thursday 14 August 2025, at Woolwich Crown Court.

A restraining order shall additionally be enforced by the judiciary.

The verdict ensued from two judicial proceedings. In the initial trial commencing in July 2024, Easy admitted guilt to Grievous Bodily Harm with a further two counts of Actual Bodily Harm, and was adjudged guilty of controlling and coercive conduct.

The subsequent trial initiated in May 2025, wherein Easy was convicted on two counts of Rape.

Detective Inspector Jemma Gregory, who oversaw the Metropolitan Police's inquiry, remarked:

"Easy's offending is shocking and sets him as a dangerous individual who, thanks to the reports from the victim and strong storyboard of evidence collated by the team, is now safely behind bars.

"I would like to commend the victim on her strength throughout the investigation and thank her for her support throughout the court processes.  It is clear that her early reporting has strengthened this case to secure a strong sentence.

"The Met is dedicated to tackling violence against women and girls by hunting down predatory men, with innovative methods being used in practice to secure convictions and strong sentences against those who pose the highest risk".

Authorities were apprised of Easy's misconduct subsequent to a disclosure by the victim on 11 January 2024.

Earlier that evening, Easy had inflicted multiple rapes upon the victim in her residence, having convinced her to permit his entry.

Intimidating her with severe violence, Easy restrained the victim's hands during the assault.

The victim reported the matter within hours of the incident, enabling officers to diligently capture images of injuries and gather evidence from the crime scene, including a container of Easy's urine that had been discarded.

Via discussions with the victim, investigators revealed a pattern of misconduct commencing with domineering actions, such as commandeering her telephone and posting on her Social Media profiles.

It emerged that Easy's transgressions had persisted for over a year, with medical documentation obtained by investigators indicating that his assaults necessitated hospitalisation for the victim on several occasions in 2023.

Personnel compiled a chronological account supported by a comprehensive evidence narrative post-incident.

Easy was apprehended after a pursuit on 1 February 2024.

Metropolitan Police is deploying various strategies, including the V100, to enhance responses to violence against women and girls (VAWG).

Training has been extended to 20,000 frontline personnel, with 565 specialised officers and staff integrated into VAWG-focused teams, resulting in a doubling of rape charges since 2022 and the acquisition of 389 Stalking Protection Orders.

Detective Chief Inspector Larry Smith, who is the Senior Investigating Officer for this investigation, said:

"This is an incredibly tragic incident that has resulted in a young boy losing his life and his family devastated.  On behalf of the family, I would ask that their privacy is respected.  This is a complex investigation due to the number of crime scenes, forensic evidence, hours of CCTV footage and witnesses we need to speak to.  I know that many people will want answers and we are working to provide them as soon as we can.  I would also echo previous calls for patience as my officers carry out a painstaking investigation to deliver justice for Daniel, his family, those injured and the wider community."

DCI Smith, continues:

"We are starting to build a picture of what happened on Tuesday and I want to thank everyone who has come forward to share dashcam, doorbell and mobile phone footage with us.  Likewise, thank you to witnesses, who were no doubt terrified by what they saw, and who have made vital contributions to our investigation.  Anyone who has not yet spoken to police and has any information should contact us as soon as possible."
