Cumbria Police are investigating a racially aggravated actual bodily harm offence that took place in Barrow Park, Barrow, on Sunday 12 July 2026. The incident occurred at approximately 19:30. A local man was attacked with an item during the assault and lost consciousness. Derogatory language was used as part of the offence. The suspect is described as a white male aged in his mid to late teens, of slim build, with short dark hair.
At the time of the incident he was not wearing a top and was dressed in jeans or shorts. He was riding a bicycle. Police Officers are working to identify and trace the individual responsible. The investigation is being carried out thoroughly. Cumbria Police have issued a reassurance to the local community that all appropriate lines of enquiry are being pursued. Anyone who witnessed the incident or has information that could assist is asked to contact Cumbria Constabulary. Police in Hartlepool are appealing for information following an altercation between a group of people at approximately 19:00 on Thursday 06 June 2024. During the incident, on Victoria Road in the Town Centre, a woman was physically assaulted, racially abused and her mobile phone was taken. According to a Metropolitan Police spokesperson, Summer Betts-Ramsey, 19, was arrested on Sunday 11 February 2024 and charged with attempted murder and possession of an offensive weapon. Summer Betts-Ramsey will appear at the Old Bailey and this has been scheduled for Tuesday 12 March 2024. The other members of this quartet cannot be named for legal reasons, as they are under the age of 18, and have been referred to as B, C, and D. A 16-year-old girl [B] was arrested on Wednesday 28 February 2024 and charged with grievous bodily harm with intent, robbery and drug possession (cannabis). She will also appear at the Old Bailey, tomorrow. Just over a week later, on Thursday 7 March 2024, a 17-year-old male [C] was charged with grievous bodily harm with intent, disclosing sexual images and threatening the victim with a knife in a private place. The following day, a second 17-year-old boy [D] was charged on Friday 8 March 2024. The charge given was grievous bodily harm with intent. Both males have been remanded and will appear at the Old Bailey on Friday 5 April 2024. The charges relate to a serious assault on Greater London's Masons Avenue in the HA3 area which left an 18-year-old girl with stab wounds. She has since been discharged from a local medical facility. |
