Detectives have charged a 19-year-old man with the murder of Robert Weston in Harrow.

Jaden Sheriff, 19, of Forston Street, was arrested on Tuesday 27 February on suspicion of murder.  He was subsequently charged with murder and possession of an offensive weapon in the early hours of Thursday 29 February.

Sheriff appeared at Willesden Magistrates’ Court on Thursday 29 February and was remanded in custody until his next hearing on Monday 4 March 2024 at the Old Bailey.

Detectives launched a murder investigation after police were called at approximately 14:05 on Monday 26 February 2024 to Hamilton Crescent with reports that a man in his 30s had been stabbed.

Officers, medics from London Ambulance Service and London's Air Ambulance attended and attempted to save the man's life but he didn't respond to treatment.

Although formal identification is yet to take place, Robert Weston's family were informed and they will continue to receive support from specially trained officers.

As is routine in cases where there has been prior police contact, a mandatory referral will be made to the IOPC by the Met's Directorate of Professional Standards.

Anyone with information that could assist police is asked to call 101 and quote Reference Number: CAD 3619/26Feb.

Those with information can give so anonymously by contacting the independent charity, CrimeStoppers, on 0800555111.
